The opportunity to take a free technical course and specialize in electric vehicle maintenance may be closer than ever. SENAI, Firjan and Nissan offer dozens of vacancies in professional qualification with guaranteed certificate.

Firjan SENAI Resende, in partnership with Nissan do Brasil, gave start of an incredible educational program focused on the maintenance of electrified vehicles. There will be 300 places on new free technical courses to address the shortage of workers in the maintenance of electric vehicles.

The pioneering initiative, aligned with the global Ambition 2030 strategy, aims to professionally qualify young people and adults, directly contributing to a sustainable, inclusive and economically promising future in the South of Rio de Janeiro.

Specialized and practical technical training in the maintenance of electric vehicles

The free technical course will have a workload of 360 hours, taught by SENAI instructors who received specialized training directly from Nissan. The training of these professionals took place at the modern Nissan Training Center in Jundiaí, São Paulo, the same space used by the company for the technical training of its own dealers.

As a way to support practical learning, Nissan donated two Nissan LEAF units, its fully electric model, which will be used in the technical laboratories at Firjan SENAI Resende during classes.

The initiative aims to serve up to 300 young people and adults, aged 18 and over. One of the classes will be specifically designed to provide technical training for civil servants in the Southern Fluminense region. With this, the program reinforces its commitment to promoting employability, social inclusion and regional economic development.

According to Fernando Flórido, Director of External, Governmental and Sustainability Affairs at Nissan Brazil, the project represents a significant step forward in meeting the demand for professionals trained in sustainable technologies. In addition, it reinforces the company's commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially in relation to quality education and fair economic growth.

Nissan and Firjan Senai intensify social investment in the region

The partnership between SENAI, Firjan and Nissan symbolizes a solid example of cooperation between educational institutions and private companies in the search for technological innovation and sustainability. For the vice-president of Firjan Sul Fluminense, this project represents an inspiring milestone, capable of boosting other similar initiatives and strengthening the region's environmental legacy.

Nissan's Resende plant, which will be 11 years old in April, is currently finalizing preparations to manufacture two new sports utility vehicles (SUVs) and a turbo engine.

In addition to this pioneering educational initiative in automotive maintenance, Nissan is developing several social actions focused on education in the Southern Fluminense region. In fiscal year 2024 alone, more than 5 people were directly benefited by 20 different projects. Highlights include the “Green School” and “Safe and Sustainable Traffic” educational programs, in addition to the R$6,1 million investment in the Profi-san project, which trains young people from the city of Itatiaia in programming for Digital Games.

Attention! Those interested in free courses should follow the opening of registrations on the Firjan website HERE, and or on the Resende city hall website, HERE.
