Emanuele Cappellano, president of Stellantis for South America, highlighted the importance of this investment for the region:

Stellantis announcement marks a new phase for the Porto Real factory
Although Stellantis has not revealed details about the fourth model to be produced in Porto Real, speculation suggests that it is the Jeep Avenger, a new entry-level SUV that will potentially replace the Renegade in Brazil.
According to information from Autos Segredos website, the Avenger, already sold in Europe, could be launched in Brazil in 2026, using the same CMP platform as the current C3 family produced at the Rio de Janeiro unit.
This strategy would facilitate the nationalization of the new model, further strengthening Jeep's presence in the Brazilian market.
Currently, in addition to the C3 and Aircross models, the Porto Real factory produces the Citroën C4 Cactus and the first generation Peugeot 2008.
However, with the introduction of the Basalt, the C4 Cactus will be discontinued, while production of the new generation Peugeot 2008 will be transferred to the El Palomar plant in Argentina, with the Peugeot 208.

Part of investment R$3 billion will be directed towards the development of micro-hybrid versions of models produced in Porto Real.
These new versions will use the Turbo 200 engine (1.0 turbo flex) already present in the Fiat Pulse and Fastback models, aligning with the global trend of sustainability and energy efficiency.
This investment reaffirms Stellantis' commitment to innovation and sustainability, strengthening its position as a leader in the automotive sector in South America.
The expansion of production capacity and the introduction of new models promise to boost the competitiveness of the Porto Real factory, bringing significant economic and social benefits to the region.
With this announcement, Stellantis demonstrates its long-term vision and its commitment to the industrial and technological development of Brazil, preparing itself for a future of growth and innovation in the automotive market.
