The Citroën Basalt Shine Turbo, coupe SUV from the French automaker, has arrived in the Brazilian market promising to combine performance, style, and technology. Equipped with a 1.0 Turbo 200 Flex engine, the model offers up to 130 horsepower with ethanol and a CVT automatic transmission with seven simulated gears.

Produced on the CMP platform, the Basalt also reinforces Citroën’s bet on the entry-level segment with a youthful appeal and connectivity.

Efficient Performance: Turbo Engine and CVT Transmission

One of the highlights of the Citroën Basalt Shine Turbo is the mechanical set. Under the hood, the SUV features the already well-known 1.0 Turbo 200 engine, with three cylinders and direct injection, delivering 125 hp with gasoline and 130 hp with ethanol, always at 5,750 rpm.

The torque is 20.4 kgfm from 1,750 rpm, ensuring good acceleration and agility in urban traffic. Combined with the CVT transmission with 7 simulated gears and front-wheel drive, the set promises a balance between comfort and economy.

In terms of consumption, the model also stands out: it achieves 11.9 km/l in the city and 13.7 km/l on the highway with gasoline. With ethanol, it records 8.3 km/l in urban routes and 9.6 km/l on highway stretches, according to PBEV data.

Robust Design and Distinctive Look

The Citroën Basalt Shine Turbo bets on a visual that blends sporty and elegant elements. At the front, the grille with the “Chevron” logo in glossy black and details in “Terre de Toscane” color give it a sophisticated air.

The body features fluid lines and a coupe-shaped roof, available in the two-tone configuration with black paint.

Among the color options are: Perla Nera Black, Ruby Red, Banquise White, and Cosmo Blue. The diamond-cut 16” alloy wheels (Urban model) complete the modern and urban look.

Comfortable Interior with Premium Finishing

Inside, the Citroën Basalt Shine Turbo does not disappoint. The dashboard features an exclusive finish in “Solar Bronze” and a Citroën Connect multimedia center with a 10” touchscreen and wireless mirroring for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The digital instrument panel has 7 inches and displays all information clearly. Additionally, the model comes with automatic digital air conditioning, a multifunction steering wheel with premium covering, and rear seats with an ISOFIX system for child seats.

Another positive point is the generous offer of USB connections: one type A for data and two additional fast charging ones in the second row.

Safety and Embedded Technology

In terms of safety, the Basalt Shine Turbo offers a robust package. It comes standard with 4 airbags (front and front side), ABS brakes, electronic stability control (ESC), traction control (ASR), electronic brake distribution (EBD), and tire pressure monitoring (ITPMS).

The model also features a hill start assist, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, and internal lighting in the trunk and both rows of seats.

Interior Space and Practicality

Although compact on the outside, the Citroën Basalt Shine Turbo delivers good interior space and cargo capacity. It measures 4,343 mm in length, 1,821 mm in width with mirrors folded, and has a wheelbase of 2,645 mm.

The minimum ground clearance is 180 mm, which helps to tackle speed bumps and pothole-ridden streets with ease. The trunk offers a volume of 490 liters per VDA standards, ideal for family trips or daily activities.
