Ranking reveals that Japan leads with an average IQ of 106,48, followed by Taiwan and Singapore, highlighting education and innovation!

An IQ ranking compiled by an American think tank, Wisevoter, presents the nations with the highest average IQs in the world, as well as those that occupy the last positions.

Several studies have been carried out to determine which countries are the smartest, taking into account variables such as quality of education, investment in health and income inequality.

Currently, Japan tops the list with an average IQ of 106,48, a result that reflects not only excellence in education but also significant indicators of human development.

This country, one of the largest economies in the world and known as a hub of innovation, is home to large companies in sectors such as automotive, electronics and pharmaceuticals.

Japan is also characterized by being highly urbanized and densely populated, presenting remarkable advances in health, nutrition and sustainability over the last few decades.

Its education system is considered one of the best globally, with continuous investments in quality, innovation and digital literacy from childhood.

IQ ranking methodology

The IQ classification mentioned in the survey is based on the study โ€œThe Intelligence of Nationsโ€, published in 2019.

Despite some criticism, the work introduces an innovative methodology that estimates the average IQ of 113 countries, using data from international educational assessment tests.

The author, Richard Lynn, and co-author David Becker converted educational test scores into national IQ estimates using large, representative samples.

The research updates IQ estimates for several countries and reveals significant changes compared to previous studies.

For example, the IQ of India fell from 82,2 to 76,24, while the Finland rose slightly from 100,9 to 101,2. This significant drop in Indiaโ€™s average score can be attributed to factors such as political instability and challenges in education, which impact cognitive development.

Nations such as Greece, Tรผrkiye and Romania showed modest declines, while United States maintained a stable IQ of around 97,43, slightly below the average for many Western European countries, which is around 100.

10 smartest countries in the world

According to the research, check out the list of ten smarter countries of the world:

  1. Japan - 106,48
  2. Taiwan - 106,47
  3. Singapore - 105,89
  4. Hong Kong - 105,37
  5. China - 104,1
  6. South Korea - 102,35
  7. Belarus - 101,6
  8. Finland - 101,2
  9. Liechtenstein - 101,07
  10. Germany - 100,74

Where does Brazil appear on the list?

Brazil occupies the 93th position in the ranking, with an average IQ of 83,38, reflecting persistent challenges in the country's educational development.

According to the study, nations with the lowest IQs often face serious structural difficulties, such as lack of access to education, malnutrition and political instability, factors that directly impact cognitive performance.

Countries with the lowest average IQ include Nepal (42,99), Liba ยฉ ria, Serra Leoa, Guatemala, Cape Verde, Gรขmbia, Nicaragua, Guine, Ivory Coast e Ghana.

Among them, the Nepal has the lowest average IQ score, with 42,99, a relevant fact that highlights the severity of the social and economic conditions faced by this nation.

Finally, it is important to note that IQ is not the only way to measure intelligence. There are several criteria for identifying the most intelligent countries, many of which do not involve only the average IQ.

Performance in academic tests, capacity for technological and scientific innovation, and even the number of Nobel Prizes won stand out.

Furthermore, emotional and social intelligence, which involves the ability to relate to and understand others, is equally important for the development of cohesive and productive societies.

IQ tests are made for humans, and animals don't really have average IQs, and the data comes from a dubious source, from an author with a history of involvement with racist ideas (Richard Lynn, author of Wealth of Nations).

IQ of โ€œoneโ€ Brazilian, at least: you. Donโ€™t include others in your ignorance. Miguelโ€™s intelligent answer is in a spectrum that your IQ doesnโ€™t reach.

I think it is impossible to measure a nation's IQ, especially given the criteria set, which have nothing to do with intelligence, for the most part. There is a possible ideological bias.

You are mistaken. Our country is the result of a right-wing government that has remained in power for 100 years, since the old Republic, unfortunately.

Is our country โ€œโ€ฆthe result of the right-wing government that remained in power for 100 yearsโ€?
First, define what it means to be โ€œright-wing.โ€
If you know, you can move on to another level of discussion.
The people who led Brazil into the Republic were the so-called โ€œliberals,โ€ who have nothing to do with the right. We only need to remember who was involved in the fall of the empire: from names like Joaquim Nabuco and others who were part of the globalist elite of the time (they were not yet known by that term) to the big farmers, representatives of the Catholic Church and the military elite; all of them under the influence of French positivism. Among them, there were no conservatives, because they were against it, since they wanted the empire to remain under the respected leadership of Emperor Dom Pedro II. In short, what happened was a coup (yes, that was a coup), perpetrated by the military under the leadership of then General Marshal Deodoro da Fonseca, in collusion with the liberals of the time, the religious elite and the economic elite (always the elitesโ€ฆ). Meanwhile, the people did not understand a thing about what was happening. So, to reiterate: NO, Brazil was not under right-wing governments during the Old Republic (from 1889 to 1930), the Vargas era (1930 to 1945) and the Populist Republic (from 1946 to 1964). There was only some influence from conservatives during the period of military governments (1964 to 1985) and, coincidentally, it was the period in which there was the greatest incidence of economic growth in Brazil throughout its brief history, despite the persecution and imprisonment of political dissidents (the overwhelming majority of them, **** and ****). By the way, the military coup of 1964 had SUPPORT from liberals at the beginning, including from the owners of the major media outlets of the time, especially the Estado de Sรฃo Paulo (Estadรฃo) and Globo. After that, during the so-called redemocratization (1985 to the present day), who were the only ones in power? The liberals and the far left; there was a brief period of 4 years of a truly right-wing government, represented by then president Jair Bolsonaro. Well, who would have thought, huh?
Naturally, I made a very **** summary (from a descriptive and historical point of view), but I really can't let such MISINFORMATION as you wrote go by. Go study something, at least, so you don't write nonsense like this that misinforms people!

The stupidity of your comment shows how the average Brazilian has a great cognitive deficiency, living in a sewer of ideas and submissions. He does not understand that education on the left is a state policy, very different from that on the right, which only focuses on the destruction of public policies and privatizations. China, which has a very present state in all sectors, from public education to economic development, is in 5th place.

It's funny, we've had several doctors in the presidency, however, it was the current one who created the most universities in this country, he was the one who invested the most in education. We were governed for 503 years by the right and it took a **** to invest in education like now.

You can't even make an intelligible comment. Have you ever wondered how likely it is that you're misunderstanding everything? Or worse, that you're repeating what people say to you because you're completely incapable of thinking for yourself?
