According to Reports from AutoEsporte, Toyota Decided to Keep Yaris Cross Prices in Brazil after Pre-Sale. Check Versions, Prices, Fuel Consumption, Engine, and Equipment of the New SUV.
According to information released by the website AutoEsporte last Monday, 09, Toyota plans to keep the prices of the Yaris Cross in Brazil, contrary to the initial expectation of a price adjustment after the pre-sale period.
The decision applies to all versions of the compact SUV, recently launched in the country, and takes effect in the coming months, with a scheduled arrival at dealerships in February.
According to the information, the measure was taken by the Japanese automaker itself, which chose to maintain the prices as a commercial strategy, even in the face of high demand and a waiting list that has already reached up to three months.

Toyota May Keep Yaris Cross Prices after Pre-Sale
Initially, Toyota had informed that the prices of the Yaris Cross would be valid only for the first 8,500 units sold.
However, this plan was revised. Thus, the SUV continues with prices ranging from R$ 149.990 to R$ 189.990, at least in the short term.
On the other hand, some benefits offered during the pre-sale no longer exist. The R$ 500 bonuses for accessories and the insurance with no deductible, for example, are no longer part of the current package.

How Much Does the Toyota Yaris Cross Cost in Brazil?

Engine and Performance of the New Icon
The combustion versions of the Yaris Cross utilize a 1.5 flex aspirated four-cylinder engine with direct injection.
It delivers up to 122 horsepower and 15.4 kgfm of torque when fueled with ethanol. The transmission is an automatic CVT type, which simulates seven gears.

Meanwhile, the hybrid versions combine a 1.5 flex Atkinson-cycle engine with an electric motor. Together, they total 111 horsepower.
In this case, the transmission is of the transaxle type, similar to that used in the Corolla hybrid, with a 0.7 kWh lithium-ion battery.
Efficient Fuel Economy is a Highlight of Toyota’s SUV
In terms of efficiency, the Toyota Yaris Cross presents competitive numbers. In the combustion versions, fuel consumption reaches 12.6 km/l in the city and 14.3 km/l on the highway.
With ethanol, the numbers are 8.8 km/l and 10.2 km/l, respectively. The hybrid versions stand out even more.
They achieve up to 17.9 km/l in the city and 15.3 km/l on the highway with gasoline, according to Inmetro data. Therefore, the focus on fuel economy is one of the model’s main attractions.
Dimensions, Trunk, and Interior Space
The Yaris Cross measures 4.31 meters in length, 1.77 m in width, and 1.65 m in height, with a wheelbase of 2.62 meters.
The trunk offers 400 liters in the combustion versions. In the hybrid versions, the volume drops slightly to 391 liters due to the battery.

Standard Technology and Safety Features
From the base version, the SUV delivers a good technological package. The dashboard is a 7-inch digital display, while the multimedia center has a 10.1-inch screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
There is also wireless charging, digital air conditioning, and electronic parking brake.
In terms of safety, all versions come with six airbags, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist.
The more expensive versions add a 360° camera and alerts for blind spots and cross traffic.
With the decision to maintain the prices, Toyota reinforces the competitiveness of the Yaris Cross in one of the most competitive segments of the Brazilian market.
