Volvo EX30 Ultra Twin Motor in Brazil

Volvo has started offering a new configuration of the EX30, its 100% electric compact SUV, focusing on performance: the EX30 Ultra Twin Motor.

According to information released in specialized reports and material presented in the Carona program, the version features two electric motors, one on each axle, producing a total of 428 hp.

In the same presentation, the declared acceleration is 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, a measurement that, according to the program, represents the highest acceleration attributed to a mass-produced Volvo.

Carona also contextualizes the number by referencing the performance of brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche.

The theme debut occurs at the opening of the 2026 season of the program, which also features the arrival of a new Chinese brand in Brazil, a visit to a space dedicated to enthusiasts in the São Paulo capital, and a maintenance segment with guidelines on the exhaust system.

Specifications of the EX30 with All-Wheel Drive and Two Motors

Unlike the versions with a single motor, the EX30 Ultra Twin Motor utilizes two electric powertrains and all-wheel drive.

According to the specifications released in the launch coverage, in addition to the 428 hp, the system has a combined torque of 55.3 kgfm and a battery capacity of 69 kWh.

As noted in the data cited in these publications, the range in the Inmetro cycle is up to 316 km for the Ultra Twin Motor.

However, the range may vary depending on usage conditions such as temperature, speed, topography, load, and driving style, factors typically considered in this type of measurement.

The new version also broadens the positioning alternatives within the EX30 lineup.

The suggested price for the EX30 Ultra Twin Motor is R$ 309,950, which, according to the program’s presentation, places it below the Cross Country configuration in the Brazilian market.

EX30 Cross Country: Elevated Suspension and Version Differences

The EX30 Cross Country is presented in the range as the option geared towards rough surfaces.

In the comparison made by Carona and reports about the model, the version differentiates itself by external finishing details and by the elevated suspension.

The suggested price for the Cross Country is R$ 314,950.

While it shares the two-motor system and all-wheel drive, the configuration is described as aimed at those seeking specific characteristics of the Cross Country package while maintaining an urban use proposition.

Jetour in Brazil and the Plug-In Hybrid SUV S06

The Carona edition also highlights the arrival of Jetour in Brazil, a Chinese brand linked to the Chery Group.

Among the models mentioned in its debut, the program draws attention to the mid-size SUV S06, which arrives with a plug-in hybrid system.

According to the specifications released in the launch coverage, the S06 measures 4.616 meters in length, 1.91 m in width, 1.69 m in height, and has a 2.72 m wheelbase.

The size is described as intermediate within the segment, in comparisons that place the model close to mid-size SUVs already known to the Brazilian public.

In the mechanical set, the information presented indicates a 1.5 Turbo Gasoline engine combined with an electric motor.

The combined power disclosed is 315 hp, with a maximum torque of 52 kgfm.

In the data attributed to Inmetro in reports about the model, the declared electric range is up to 70 km.

The same coverage mentions a battery of 19.43 kWh and a direct current charging capacity of up to 40 kW, in addition to alternating current charging of up to 6.6 kW, according to specifications aimed at Brazil.

The timeline disclosed for the start of deliveries indicates March as a reference for the first units, according to information circulated in the automotive press.

In addition to the launches, Carona visits the Gearhead Club, presented as a space in São Paulo aimed at car enthusiasts.
