UFSC Opens Enrollment for Free Course in Neuropsychomotor Development, 100% Distance Learning, Focused on Early Childhood and SUS Professionals. Enrollment Open.

The Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) has opened slots for a free course in Neuropsychomotor Development, aimed at qualifying healthcare professionals in the SUS.

The initiative runs until 09/30/2026, in a fully remote format, with a total workload of 60 hours.

The proposal seeks to strengthen comprehensive care for children from their earliest years, increasing access to continuing education throughout the country.

The course will be offered by UFSC through the UNA-SUS platform, allowing managers and healthcare professionals to enroll from any region in Brazil.

Enrollment will remain open until August 26, 2026, while activities continue until September 30, 2026.

In total, 50,000 slots are available, significantly expanding the reach of the training.

UFSC Expands Enrollment in Free Course on Neuropsychomotor Development

The free course in Neuropsychomotor Development focuses on the first thousand days of a child’s life, a period deemed crucial for healthy growth.

In this context, participants learn about the importance of early childhood and the so-called Comprehensive Care Model, which guides policies and practices for child care.

Additionally, the content addresses what is known as early intervention.

This concept refers to actions taken as early as possible to stimulate child development, taking advantage of the so-called “window of opportunity,” when the brain is most receptive to positive stimuli.

Practical Content and Multidisciplinary Perspective

Among the central themes of the UFSC course are milestones of typical neuropsychomotor development and guidelines for appropriate stimulation at each stage of childhood.

Signs of alert are also presented to assist in the early identification of delays or developmental disorders.

The course also discusses specific situations, such as prematurity, its risk factors, and impacts on child development.

On the other hand, it presents care models aimed at children with disabilities, always with a multi and interdisciplinary approach, valuing integrated work among different health areas.

Free Course in Neuropsychomotor Development is 100% Distance Learning

With a distance learning format, the free course allows flexibility for those working in the intense routine of SUS.

Classes and materials can be accessed online, facilitating participation for professionals from different levels and regions.

The cross-sectoral care of children from 0 to 10 years old is also one of the highlights.

The training emphasizes child- and family-centered care, promoting more humane and effective practices in monitoring child development.
