Night Train of Vale Debuts With Strong Adhesion, Sells About 30 Thousand Tickets in January and Will Have New Trips in the Summer Months by EFVM.

The debut of the night train of Vale on the Vitória to Minas Railway (EFVM) was marked by a demand that exceeded expectations.

Only in January, the first month of operation of the new service, about 30 thousand tickets were sold, according to data from the mining company gathered at the request of A Gazeta.

The demand was so intense that, early in the month, all available tickets were already sold out, highlighting passenger interest in the new railway travel option.

Night Train of Vale: Service Will Be Offered Only in Specific Periods

Given the model adopted by the company, the night train will not operate throughout the entire year.

Operations are scheduled only for the months of January, July, and December, which are traditionally associated with school vacations.

Vale announced that sales will be reopened exclusively in these months, following the schedule set in the railway concession renewal contract.

Despite the novelty in the schedule, ticket prices remain the same as those practiced during daytime trips on the EFVM.

The complete route between Belo Horizonte (MG) and the Pedro Nolasco Station in Cariacica (ES) costs R$ 125 in executive class and R$ 87 in economic class.

The stops made during January were adjusted according to the current demand from passengers.

Structure of the Train Prioritizes Comfort and Accessibility

During the night journey, passengers had access to a snack bar, selling food and meals.

The train consists of cars from the economic and executive classes, as well as a elevator for wheelchair access and reserved spaces for people with reduced mobility.

The aim of the service is to ensure comfort throughout the entire journey, even on longer routes.

Night Train of Vale Integrates Obligations of the Railway Concession

The night train is part of the so-called Holiday Train, one of the commitments made by Vale in the renewal of the Vitória to Minas Railway concession.

The initiative complements the existing daytime trips and expands the passenger transport offer between Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo.

The company has committed to maintaining the service during the main periods of high tourist demand.

Night train of Vale debuts with strong adhesion, sells about 30 thousand tickets in January and will have new trips in the summer months by EFVM.

Railway Has Historical Role in Regional Development

For the passenger train manager, Eduardo Soares, the EFVM goes beyond a simple transport route.

“More than connecting destinations, the railway connects stories, traditions, and the daily lives of thousands of people, establishing itself as an important social and economic vector for these localities,” he stated.

According to him, the debut of the Holiday Train in 2026 already shows that the service meets a long-standing demand from passengers.

Expectation is to Repeat the Success of the Night Train of Vale in the Next Editions

With the rapid sale of tickets in January, Vale‘s expectation is that the night train will see high demand again in the upcoming operations, scheduled for July and December.

The recommendation for those interested is to keep an eye on the opening of sales to secure a spot on future trips.
