Generating Much Controversy and Distrust Among Candidates Who Submitted Resumes This Week, We Managed to Contact the Company
Some people have been reporting that Energy Petroleum would be asking candidates to deposit a sum of money to enter the company’s selection process for a large offshore project based in Taubaté-SP. We decided to pursue the information and it ended up presenting some justifications. Read them below and decide whether it is worth applying or not. You can find the original article here.
Energy Petroleum states that it is not asking for anything to carry out the hiring, and that training is a mandatory requirement for performing operational activities at the company, in case candidates do not already have it. According to them, it is merely indicating a consultancy with more flexible prices to assist those who wish to work there. It is almost the same as those wanting to work offshore these days; it is mandatory to have the CBSP and HEUT courses, but if you don’t pay for them, you will never board an offshore unit.

They claim that the domain for sending resumes is “outlook” because they are still in the process of installation in Brazil, and there are interviews and photos of them on specialized websites in the city of São Paulo or Taubaté. Click Petroleum and Gas did not find this interview or these photos; if anyone finds them, please post the link here so we can correct this part of the article.
The company reinforces that it is conducting serious selection processes and that it will have the support of the consultancy CEPEM for the recruitment of candidates with the required profile. Energy included a snippet of the conversation-response they had with CEPEM and our inbox. We will not share this conversation here to preserve important data from the consultancy and avoid problems in the future. CEPEM states that there are still no contracts with them and does not charge candidates for courses.
Here is an excerpt from Energy Petroleum’s justification on this issue: “We would like this news to be clarified as soon as possible because we are very upset; we are trying to hire good professionals and we know everyone’s difficulties. We also know about the great mafia that exists in Macaé of training companies charging an arm and a leg. We arrived with a methodology and we have partner companies that we recommend and do not charge to facilitate those who need qualification. Thank you, Frank Jones OIM Project Energy Petroleum.”
