Cosan and Shell were responsible for the creation of Raízen, a company resulting from the integration process of the two companies’ businesses and today operates in segments such as: ethanol, sugar, bioenergy, fuel, among others. They work from end to end in the sugarcane supply chain and achieved the following results:

• Ethanol: They are the largest producers in the country, with 2 billion liters annually;
• Sugar: The largest exporters in the international market, with 4.3 million tons sold per year;
• Bioenergy: The largest producers of electricity from sugarcane biomass.
• Fuel: They distribute and sell 25 billion liters of fuel through the Shell brand.
