For The First Time, The Company Will Have Its Own Stand And Present Its News At The Event
Rio de Janeiro, September 20 – Açu Petróleo, a partnership of Prumo Logística and the German Oiltanking, will be present at Rio Oil&Gas 2018, the largest oil and gas event in Latin America, which will take place from September 24 to 27, at Riocentro, Rio de Janeiro. For the first time at the event, the company will welcome visitors to the fair at Pavilion 4, stand i-43.
In the space, through interactive and audiovisual tools, visitors will be able to navigate and learn about the details of the Açu Petróleo terminal (T-OIL), located at the Port of Açu, in the North of the state (RJ), which is the only private terminal in the country capable of receiving VLCC ships, which have a storage capacity of up to 2 million barrels of crude oil. In addition, visitors will also learn about the tank storage projects for oil planned for the coming years.

Billions of barrels on the equatorial margin could lead Amapá to double its oil production in Brazil — the state aims to enter the route of companies in the Campos Basin, attract investments, and boost jobs and businesses in the oil and gas sector.
“We completed the 50th ship-to-ship operation in August, which represents a milestone for the company. In just two years of operation, we have handled 50 million barrels of oil. We are licensed to handle up to 1.2 million barrels of oil per day. So, the expectation is that with the recovery of the O&G industry our demand will grow even more. We want to be recognized as the best logistics solution for oil movement in Brazil,” said the CEO of Açu Petróleo, Victor Bonfim.
Operating since 2016 and with a privileged location in relation to the main offshore producing basins, T-OIL has the capacity to simultaneously perform three ship-to-ship oil transshipment operations. To carry out the dredging works of T-OIL and increase the nominal depth of the terminal to 25 meters, R$ 400 million was invested in the last year. The first operation with a large vessel took place in May of this year and, until then, the terminal had already operated 5 VLCC ships.
One of the main differentiators of T-OIL is that the transshipment operation is carried out in a sheltered area by a breakwater, allowing for a fast and safe operation, with efficiency and reduction in the final cost for customers, in all seasons of the year.
