New Cheap Motorcycles Hit The Market To Challenge Honda’s Dominance. With Prices Starting From R$ 9,000, These Models Offer Excellent Cost-Benefit, Combining Economy And Great Performance.
Honda is a Japanese vehicle manufacturer with millions of customers all over Brazil, being one of the largest brands in the market. However, a major rival promises to finally disrupt its leadership, arriving with 3 cheap motorcycles for R$ 9,000, bringing economy and cost-effectiveness.
New Cheap Motorcycles Promise To Dominate The Brazilian Market
The competitor is Shineray, which arrives offering 3 motorcycles for R$ 9,000. The new motorcycles are aimed at the street, trail, and scooter categories. The most affordable of them is the Shineray Worker 125, one of the cheap motorcycles that costs R$ 8,490. This motorcycle is recognized for its combination of affordable price and excellent fuel autonomy, reaching up to 40 km/l.
The simplicity and ease of use of the Shineray Worker 125 are highlights, considering its basic design and analog panel, which provide functionality without distractions. Additionally, the bike remains one of the most affordable on the market, costing about R$ 8,490.

Ducati brings to Brazil the Superleggera V4 Centenario: 228 hp that become 247 with a track kit, carbon fiber and carbon-ceramic brakes, estimated price between R$ 1.5 and 2 million, deliveries only in 2027.
One of the main attractions of the model is its 123 cc single-cylinder engine, which offers the fuel efficiency sought by urban drivers. With a four-speed transmission, it provides a smooth ride day-to-day.
The competitive price, combined with mechanical simplicity, makes it an attractive choice for various consumers. However, it is important to highlight that even with these new cheap motorcycles, it is still uncertain whether Shineray will seize Honda’s place, as the brand is still strengthening its reputation in the Brazilian market.
Other Motorcycles For R$ 9,000 That May Arrive Soon In Brazil
Shineray also has other new motorcycles for R$ 9,000 for the Brazilian market, including the Worker 150 and Jet 125SS, which cost around R$ 8,990 and R$ 9,490 respectively.
The Shineray Worker 150 differentiates itself from the 125 by more colorful details, exclusive fairing for the round headlight, and especially by the dual front fender, with the upper section matching the bike’s color and a lower black section closer to the wheel.
Regarding engine specifications, Shineray did not specify whether the bike has electronic fuel injection or is still carbureted, the latter being more likely. In any case, the 150 cc single-cylinder engine is air-cooled and delivers 9 hp at 7,500 RPM and 1.02 kgfm of torque at 5,500 RPM, connected to a 4-speed gearbox.
Meanwhile, the small bike in the cub category, Shineray Jet 125 SS EFI is the best seller of the brand. The electronic fuel injection system that replaces the carburetor helps the 125 cc cub offer an average consumption of 45 km/l on gasoline, allowing for urban travel with more autonomy and practicality. The engine works with a 4-speed gearbox and delivers eight horsepower at 7,500 RPM and 0.9 kgfm at 5,500 RPM.
Honda Continues Expanding Sales And Breaking Records
Even with the new cheap motorcycles, the Honda Pop 110i set its historical sales record during October 2024. With 16,201 units registered in a month, this was the best monthly performance ever achieved by the model since its launch in 2007, when it was still Pop 100.
The peak of motorcycle registrations occurs just a few months after the bike underwent significant renewals in Brazil. The model was launched with a new semi-automatic transmission, losing the clutch lever, and also gained a new engine.
