Chevrolet Announces New Compact SUV for Brazil, Promising to Be More Affordable Than the Tracker and To Enter the Entry-Level SUV Market with Strength, Competing with Models Like Fiat Pulse and Volkswagen Nivus.

Chevrolet is not kidding around and is going to shake up the Brazilian market for compact SUVs with a bombastic launch! Betting high on the entry-level segment, the automaker will bring a new compact SUV that will sit below the Tracker. That’s right, folks! Chevrolet is preparing a model that promises to be the cheapest and most accessible entry-level compact SUV, shaking up the competition.

In 2024, Chevrolet has already shaken up its catalog with updates to the Spin and the S10, but the cherry on top is this new compact SUV. It is still not 100% confirmed if it will be called Groove, as in other Latin American countries, or if we will have a brand-new name here. What we do know is that it will be manufactured in Gravataí, RS, and is already in the development phase.

New Compact SUV from Chevrolet Is National

The new Chevrolet compact SUV arrives to face heavyweight competitors like Fiat Pulse and Volkswagen Nivus, bringing a very interesting proposal. It is a little smaller than the Tracker, measuring 4.22 meters in length, 2.55 meters in wheelbase, 1.74 meters in width, and 1.61 meters in height. It has a trunk capacity of up to 417 liters and weighs 1,218 kg.

On the outside, it impresses with a more modern and attractive design than the Tracker. At the front, it features a chrome grille, LED lights, and gray details on the bumper. On the sides, there’s a floating roof and 16-inch wheels with a diamond finish. At the rear, an integrated spoiler and halogen taillights with a transparent look.

Engine

In terms of engine, the new Chevrolet compact SUV is expected to offer two options: a 1.5 naturally aspirated engine with 110 horsepower and 15 kgfm of torque, with a six-speed manual transmission for the entry-level versions, and the well-known 1.0 turbo three-cylinder engine with 115 horsepower and 16 kgfm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission for the more expensive versions.

Interior

Inside, the Chevrolet Groove does not disappoint. The interior is modern, with a hard plastic finish, but well assembled. The space comfortably accommodates four adults and one child. Among the features, highlights include electrically folding side mirrors, keyless entry, multifunction steering wheel, digital air conditioning, panoramic sunroof, and a complete multimedia system with an 8-inch screen, rearview camera, GPS, wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as onboard Wi-Fi.

Safety

In terms of safety, the Chevrolet compact SUV includes traction and stability control, four airbags, disc brakes with ABS on all four wheels, headrests and three-point seatbelts for all occupants, Isofix, and blind-spot alerts.

Chevrolet Groove Is Already Making Waves in Latin Countries

The new Chevrolet Groove is already gaining popularity in countries like Argentina, Mexico, Peru, and Chile, and will arrive in Brazil next year to compete directly with models like Fiat Pulse and Volkswagen Nivus. With prices ranging from R$ 110,000 to R$ 130,000, it has everything to be a big sales success, offering an even more affordable and attractive option in the compact SUV segment. Get ready, because the competition is going to be fierce!

Fala sério tudo igual a plataforma do Onix, como se fosse uma grande plataforma. Vai ser um carro com acabamento simples bem **** então… O Tracker já usa a plataforma do Onix.
