Aeronáutica Contest Opens 242 New Positions for Candidates With Completed High School Education

The Brazilian Air Force Has Hundreds of Open Positions in Its New Public Competition for Candidates with Complete High School and Technical Education.

The Brazilian Air Force Command announced the opening of hundreds of positions in its new admission exam for the Air Force Sergeant Training Course for the year 2024. The purpose of the public competition is to hire 242 new officers of both genders, with complete high school and technical education, to work in various areas, including IT and mechanics. The opportunities are intended for seven naval districts of the Air Force, including Recife, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo.

Open Positions by the Air Force in Its Public Competition Focused on High School and Technical Candidates

Overall, the Air Force offers 242 positions for the sergeant role in various sectors of the organization. Candidates will be evaluated and admitted first to the Sergeant Training Course and then will occupy the position of Third Sergeant. The positions are distributed among the following areas for high school and technical education:

Aircraft Mechanic

Responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of military aircraft, which includes operation and testing of some systems.

Materials

Responsible for the technical services of maintenance, installation, and storage of air and ground munitions.

Electricity and Instruments

Performs maintenance on the electro-electronic systems and instruments of aircraft, being responsible for the operation and testing of the systems and instruments of the aircraft.

Structure and Painting

Responsible for executing structure work, handling, and painting of plastics and similar materials both in aircraft and their components.

Flight Equipment

The flight equipment specialist sergeant is the military responsible for the maintenance and operation of flight equipment aboard aircraft.

Supply

Responsible for coordinating the processes of receiving, inspecting, checking, storing, packaging, shipping, and collecting aeronautical material.

Guard and Security

Responsible for performing security services for facilities, defending sensitive points, activities of the Air Force Police, participating in search and rescue missions, among others.

Air Traffic Control

Responsible for ensuring separation between aircraft in controlled airspace and providing aeronautical information to pilots.

Find Out How to Register for the Air Force Public Competition

To compete for one of the open positions in the Air Force high school and technical competition, candidates must register between February 23 and March 15, 2023, directly on the Air Force website.

The registration fee is R$ 80. Candidates registered in CadÚnico, or those who are bone marrow donors, have the right to request exemption from the fee.

At the time of registration, the candidate must choose their preferred district, according to the selected area:

• Belém – PA;
• Manaus – AM;
• Rio de Janeiro – RJ;
• Canoas – RS;
• São Paulo – SP;
• Recife – PE;
• Brasília – DF.

Requirements Set by the Air Force for Its Public Competition

To compete for one of the vacancies available in the public competition for high school and technical education, interested candidates must meet some minimum requirements, such as:

• Be a Brazilian citizen;
• Be over 17 years old;
• Not have completed 25 years of age by the time of incorporation;
• Be up to date with electoral and military obligations;
• Possess the education required for the position;
• If male, not hold a Certificate of Exemption from Military Service due to physical, moral, or mental incapacity;
• Not have been expelled or judged a deserter, under the terms of the legislation that regulates Military Service;
• Not be serving a sentence for a common, electoral, or military crime, nor be subject to a security measure.
