Center for Gas Technologies and Renewable Energy opens registration for free Technical Specialization in Wind Farms exclusively for women

A AES Brazil, producer of electricity derived from renewable sources, and the Center for Gas Technologies and Renewable Energy (CTGAS-ER), which is part of SENAI in Rio Grande do Norte, started the registration period for the selection process of Free Technical Specialization Course in Maintenance and Operation of Wind Farms. The selection process is specifically for women who live in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. The state is a pioneer in the production of onshore wind energy at the national level.

According to the statement, there will be a total of sixty vacancies to be filled. The objective is to increase the number of female professionals participating in activities in the wind power, today dominated by male specialists.

The technical specialization in wind farms will be offered free of charge, the participants will have the opportunity to participate in the classes given online, live. In addition to these classes, there will be a face-to-face meeting at the CTGAS-ER headquarters in the state capital, Natal. 

Classes are scheduled to be held in 2023, on a date yet to be announced. The minimum workload will be 460 hours, approximately the same as a six-month course.

What are the basic prerequisites to participate in the selection process

To participate in the selection process and compete for a place in the Free Technical Specialization Course in Maintenance and Operation of Wind Farms, it is necessary to have completed high school, be at least 18 years old, prove permanent residence in Rio Grande do Norte and have technical training in at least one of the following areas: electrical, mechanical or work safety.

Entries opened on October 11th and remain until October 21st, however they may close before this date, as there is a limit of 1000 entries. Interested parties should access the institution's website through this link to apply. The application process will only be accepted online.
