Aimed at teachers who want to expand their knowledge and convey information, this course explores the GLOBE Program and Scientific Research using the GLOBE Observer app, which encompasses four mobile protocols: Clouds, Land Cover, Trees, and Mosquito Habitat Mapping.

Free Courses from the Brazilian Space Agency GLOBE Segment

The “GLOBE Scientist – 2nd Class/2024” Course: is aimed at enthusiasts of the topic and also introduces the GLOBE Program, as well as discusses Scientific Research using the GLOBE Observer app.

Human and Social Sciences Segment: The “Introductory Course to Aerospace Geopolitics – 2nd Class/2024” offers a comprehensive view of the components of Aerospace Geopolitics, highlighting the relevance of the Brazilian Space Program (PEB). Furthermore, the course seeks to understand how Aerospace Geopolitics contributes to the development of skills in the space sector and in scientific dissemination.

Basic Course in Space Law: This course aims to provide participants with an introduction to space law, a complex area that encompasses aspects of international, administrative, and environmental law, as well as space technology and international relations.

Course – Project-Based Learning, Games, Gamification, Case Studies, and Group Challenges Applied to Teaching Space Sciences: The minicourse is aimed at training students and teachers in teaching strategies, focusing on active methodologies, for application in the teaching of space sciences and technologies.

Course – Storytelling and Flipped Classroom Applied to Teaching Space Sciences: The storytelling course will teach an active methodology that promotes greater motivation and engagement of participants through interaction. On the other hand, the flipped classroom allows the teacher to change the traditional order between content presentation and homework, encouraging greater interaction and the role of the teacher as a mediator.

Exact and Earth Sciences Segment The course “Game Programming in Python – 2nd Class/2024” seeks to provide advanced and engaging knowledge through video lessons developed by specialists, complementary theoretical materials when necessary, and assessment activities, promoting diffusion and learning in programming and game development.

Solar Cells and Electrical Circuits: This minicourse covers the fundamentals of solar cells and the composition of solar panels, as well as the principles of electrical circuits and the identification of their components.

Fiber Optics and Geoboard: In this minicourse, students will learn about the basic principles of light propagation and gain an in-depth understanding of geometric properties and geometric figures.

Minicourse – Arduino: This minicourse provides students with the necessary knowledge to build a basic spectrometer capable of measuring different wavelengths of light, a form of electromagnetic radiation.

Aerospace Sciences Segment: The course “Introduction to Technological Maturity and its Metrics – 2nd Class/2024” teaches how to evaluate the maturity of technologies in systems, introduces technological classifications, and the analytical decomposition of products. The course also uses the AEB’s IMATEC software for evaluation and addresses risk analysis in technological projects.

A Flight Through the Universe of Rockets: theory and practice – 2nd Class/2024 This course aims to promote the dissemination of space sciences and applications in Basic Education schools throughout Brazil. The content includes an introduction to rockets, a historical overview of their evolution, and the space race. Additionally, it will cover how rockets work, launch centers, and Brazilian rockets, as well as guide in building a personal rocket.
