AI Agent Professionals Are Landing High-Paying Jobs and Expanding Opportunities in Brazil. See How to Enter This Market.

The AI agents are becoming key players in companies across different sectors, and those who master this technology are already securing high-paying jobs and significant professional appreciation.

Experts claim that mastering the creation and application of these systems can yield earnings of up to R$ 20,000, a direct reflection of the advance of artificial intelligence (AI) in corporations.

These professionals are responsible for developing autonomous programs capable of executing tasks and making decisions on their own, enhancing productivity and efficiency in companies.

“Those who know how to create and implement AI agents today are highly valued. I say this from personal experience,” says João Gama, 19, a junior analysis technician at a vehicle rental company.

What AI Agents Do and Why They Are in Demand

AI agents, also known as autonomous agents, are systems based on generative language models, similar to those used by ChatGPT.

They are capable of performing actions without direct human intervention — such as making reservations, responding to customers, or analyzing large volumes of data.

In companies, these solutions bring cost reduction and increased agility, in addition to enhancing the customer experience.

Giants like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, and IBM already offer tools for creating custom agents.

“Humans set the goals, but an AI agent independently chooses the best actions to achieve them,” explains Amazon.

In Brazil, the application is broad, ranging from retail to finance, education, and communication.

At iFood, for example, an AI agent assists the human resources department in screening resumes, comparing skills, and suggesting ideal job openings, according to HR director Raphael Bozza.

AI Professionals Achieve High Salaries and Rapid Appreciation

With the growth of technology, salaries for AI professionals are among the highest in the market. According to a survey by Catho, remuneration ranges from R$ 3,500 to R$ 20,000 under the CLT system.

The 2026 Salary Guide by Robert Half indicates that an AI and machine learning specialist can earn up to R$ 23,500, while an AI engineer can reach R$ 27,100 monthly.

For Evellyn Cid, a professor at FIAP, new roles are expected to emerge soon: “The sector is already considering creating specialized positions, such as agents auditors and specialists in autonomous agents, responsible for ethics and security.”

Despite high demand, there is a shortage of qualified professionals. “The demand for AI specialists has been growing for over five years, with an annual average above 20%,” states Cleber Zanchettin, a professor at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE).

He warns that the global market may exceed 30% growth in the search for professionals in the field.

Young Professionals Are Already Standing Out with AI Agents

Cases like João Gama’s show how technology quickly opens doors. The young man developed an agent capable of analyzing vehicle inspection forms and identifying failures, such as oil leaks, in the company’s fleet.

“The system helps to detect failures quickly and makes decisions more agile,” he shares.

Another rising professional is Evellyn Nicole, 22, an AI engineer at a company in the electricity sector. Graduated from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), she creates agents that automate repetitive tasks and streamline the analysts’ routine.

“I’ve received offers with better salaries, but I preferred the comfort of working from home,” says Evellyn, who works entirely remotely.

Both emphasize that the career requires constant updating. “One day it works, the next day it doesn’t,” explains Evellyn, referring to the so-called AI hallucinations, when the system provides incorrect answers.

How to Prepare to Work with AI Agents

To enter this profession, it is essential to combine technical and business skills. Mastery of Python is the first step, as it is the foundation of most AI systems.

It is also important to know tools like Lindy, LangChain, CrewAI, AutogenAI and Langflow, used in the creation and automation of agents.

According to experts, the market values professionals with higher education, analytical thinking, and the ability to understand business processes.

In addition, participating in events and hackathons focused on artificial intelligence helps gain practical experience and expand networking.

As professor Evellyn Cid highlights, “even those from non-technical fields can work with AI agents, as long as they understand the business and know how to apply the technology strategically.”

The Future of AI Agents and the Impact on Employment

With the expansion of generative AI, AI agents are expected to play a central role in the digital transformation of companies.

They not only automate tasks but also create new job opportunities and highly specialized careers.

The combination of growing demand, high salaries, and a shortage of professionals makes this field one of the most promising and profitable in the coming years.

As João Gama summarizes: “Those who master the creation of these systems are likely to stand out, as there are still few prepared individuals in the area.”
