Aker Solutions Has Been Awarded a Five-Year Contract to Provide Brownfield Modifications, Maintenance, and Support for BP’s Greater Plutonio and PSVM Fields Offshore Angola.
The scope of Aker Solutions’ work includes providing engineering, procurement, and construction services for brownfield projects on floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessels located in each field. This includes support for upgrades to process, chemical, and marine support systems, as well as the refurbishment of old pipelines and equipment.

This new contract will benefit from an extensive local training program that Aker Solutions has been conducting, developing a strong engineering capability in the country for subsea life cycle services and topside maintenance, modifications, and operations.
This ongoing commitment will help ensure vital skills for the future of the energy sector in Angola. Aker Solutions has been operating in Angola since 1998 and currently has over 270 employees in Luanda. The award will be booked in the third quarter of 2018.
