Elon Musk Arrived in Brazil This Friday (05/20) and Discussed Connectivity and Amazon-Related Issues with President Jair Bolsonaro
The richest man in the world, Elon Musk, is in Brazil with a packed agenda involving business meetings, agreements, and discussions on important topics such as the Amazon and Connectivity with major entrepreneurs. He landed at Catarina Airport in São Roque (SP) around 9 AM and headed to the city of Porto Feliz, in the interior of São Paulo, for a meeting with the president of the republic, Jair Bolsonaro.
During the meeting, Bolsonaro did not hold back his praise for the entrepreneur and referred to him as the “myth of freedom,” referencing the billionaire’s negotiations to purchase Twitter in favor of freedom of expression. At the event on this Friday (20), the billionaire discussed the arrival of Starlink in the Amazon region and how this revolutionary internet will facilitate the monitoring of the Amazon and bring connectivity to hard-to-reach areas.

However, although the focus of Elon Musk’s visit to Brazil is discussing topics related to the Amazon and connectivity, during the meeting with Bolsonaro, his agenda still includes other meetings with major entrepreneurs. According to columnist Lauro Jardim and the Valor Econômico portal, the billionaire is expected to meet with 13 national entrepreneurs in the coming days.
