The Weather Forecast for the Next Three Months Indicates Record Temperatures and Intense Rainfall That Can Cause Damage. Check the Most Affected Regions and How to Prepare
In the coming months, the weather forecast shows that the climate in the Brasil promises an extreme variation between cold and heat, generating enormous challenges for authorities in various parts of the country. According to the Agricultural Meteorological Bulletin from the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), different areas of Brazil will face periods of heavy rainfall, prolonged droughts, sudden cold, and extreme heat.
For farmers, especially on the eve of the summer crop planting, the scenario is one of uncertainty. In regions like Southern Brazil, the forecast indicates above-average rainfall, while the central area of the country, including states like Mato Grosso, will face severe droughts and high temperatures.
The planting of soybeans and corn, recently authorized, will take place amid these adverse weather conditions.

Weather Forecast by Region
Southern Region: In the states of the Southern region, the coming months will be marked by above-average rainfall, especially in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.
Paraná is also expected to experience rainy periods, although in some areas the precipitation will remain within the average. In addition to the rain, temperatures are expected to remain above average throughout much of the region.
Southeast Region: The forecast for the Southeast indicates below-average rainfall, except in the southeastern part of São Paulo, which may have slightly higher precipitation due to the passage of cold fronts.
Temperatures will also be above historical averages, particularly in Minas Gerais and northern São Paulo, which may face intense heat and drought conditions in the coming months.
Central Region: Mato Grosso and the central region of Brazil have been experiencing a long dry period since May, and this situation is expected to continue in the coming months. Rainfall will remain below average, and air humidity may reach critical levels, below 20% in some areas.
Northern Region: In the Northern region, below-average rainfall is expected, especially in September and October. However, starting in November, there may be a partial recovery of soil moisture levels, mainly in the western part of the region. Temperatures will also remain above average, with a risk of wildfires in areas such as eastern Amazonas.
Northeast Region: The climatic situation in the Northeast will not be much different, with forecasts of below-average rainfall and temperatures above historical standards. The most affected areas will be the interior of the region, where drought is expected to persist.
Climate Challenges for Agriculture
Climate variability in the coming months brings serious challenges for farmers across Brazil. While the South faces excessive rainfall, the Midwest and Northeast are grappling with water scarcity, with forecasts of prolonged drought and extreme heat.
This scenario increases the risks of crop loss and the need for more efficient management strategies to mitigate climate impacts.
The next few months in Brazil will be a true roller coaster of weather conditions, requiring heightened attention, especially for those who depend on the weather for their activities.
