According to Paulo Silveira, CEO of Alura, the company aims to expand opportunities in the technology market, which needs new professionals, and for that the pillars of diversity and inclusion are being worked on. The free online and EAD course program is aimed at candidates with no experience who have never programmed in their lives and have no knowledge of the area.

The aim is to develop professionals and see how far they can go. In the latest editions of Imersão Dev, students learned Front End techniques, with which they developed AluraFlix, a streaming platform that features series, YouTube videos and games. In other editions of EAD programming courses, participants with no experience created AluraQuiz, a mechanism that can challenge people with questions and show how much they know about a subject.

Silveira says that, during the free online courses, participants create their own pages, and many of them set up different sites than what was offered during the course period, showing that their learning capacity can go much further. The CEO says this is amazing, because learning to code and having a career in IT can take years.

What free online and distance learning courses does the program offer?

The courses will take place in a dynamic way, with chats, extra materials, a question session and a dive of information distributed in ten classes, which will be taught by specialists in programming and Front End. With the free online and EAD courses, subscribers will be able to:

  • Immerse yourself in HTML, Javascript and CSS, even with no experience;
  • Face customized challenges;
  • Create your portfolio from day one;
  • Participate in the developer community;
  • Have access to an exclusive server on Discord to be able to interact with instructors, as well as other students during free online courses.

To enroll, you will need access the Immersion Dev website and fill in your name and email. Once this is done, a message will arrive in your inbox explaining all the necessary steps.

Meet Alura

Alura is the largest platform for Information Technology courses in all of Brazil. In it, people with no experience can learn and improve skills as technology professionals and, for that, several immersive contents are available where students create their own portfolio, share knowledge, and much more. The institution's platform offers more than 1200 courses and, so far, half a million people have already transformed their careers.

The institution emerged when Guilherme and Paulo Silveira realized that several male and female students did not have access to content they planned to study due to distance and time, in addition to some adapting to different class rhythms. It was then that Alura appeared, in June 2013.
