ANP releases the list of approved companies for participation in the 5th Production Sharing Round, which will take place on September 28 and will offer the areas of Saturno, Titã, Pau Brasil, and Southwest Tartaruga Verde, located in the Santos and Campos basins. Areas from both pre-salt and post-salt will be offered. Check out the list below of all the qualified companies:

– Chevron Brazil Ventures LLC – United States
– CNOOC Petroleum Brasil Ltda. – China
– Ecopetrol S.A – Colombia*
– Equinor Brasil Energia Ltda. – Norway*
– ExxonMobil Brasil – United States
– Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) – Brazil
– BP Energy do Brasil Ltda. – United Kingdom
– CNODC Brasil Petróleo e Gás Ltda. – China
– DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG – Germany
– QPI Brasil Petróleo Ltda. – Qatar
– Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda. – United Kingdom
– Total E&P do Brasil Ltda. – France

The companies Ecopetrol and Equinor must present additional documentation by 9/13/2018, the final deadline for submitting the bid guarantees. Of these, only DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG does not yet have a contract for the exploration and production of oil and natural gas in Brazil.

ANP predicts more than 500,000 new jobs by 2020 for the oil and gas sector. One thing is for sure, companies are becoming increasingly demanding; you need technical qualifications and the ability to get along with others, work in teams, communicate clearly, and have leadership skills, even for positions that are not managerial.
