The Apps of Today’s Technology, Such as Kwai and TikTok, Are Seeking Young Professionals in Latin America and Even Stealing Employees from One Another
The increase in the use of major corporate technology apps such as TikTok, Kwai, among others in Latin America is largely due to the hiring of local professionals. These companies compete with each other for the talents they want to retain.
TikTok, Kuaishou (known as Kwai), Huawei, and Didi (owner of 99 in Brazil) have been hiring and boosting the careers of young technology professionals in exchange for specialized knowledge and experience related to the region where they live.
These current technology apps, developed in areas where North American and European companies have long-held prestige, give Chinese companies a competitive edge over their competitors, according to a report published on the Rest of World website.

The New Labor Market Sector in the World
The report interviewed nine professionals from Chinese technology companies, such as TikTok and Kwai, in Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia, the largest markets in Latin America, and found that Chinese technology companies serve as a gateway for young people into the corporate world in their region.
Young individuals with little age and professional experience assume mid to high-level management roles in marketing, operations, and compliance and also become professionals in translating the objectives of these corporations for the Latin American markets.
Within some time, other technology companies begin to compete for these employees, stealing local talents from one another.
Attractive Salaries and Flexible Hours
According to the report, some of the Chinese companies offer high salaries and even pay in US dollars, which most North American and European companies established in the continent do not offer.
Qualities such as the freedom to be creative and the assignment of large goals to these employees were also cited as incentives for these professionals to prefer Asian companies.
