The Unified Educational Centers (CEUs) in the city of São Paulo are open for enrollment for free language courses at the Paulistano Language Centers (CELPs). This initiative allows students from the municipal network to access quality education in different languages, expanding their academic and professional opportunities.

Courses and Offered Languages

The free courses have a total duration of three and a half years, and at the end of each module, students receive a certificate. The language options include German, Korean, Chinese, Spanish, French, English, Italian, and Japanese. In total, 8,000 spots are available for students enrolled between the 4th year of Elementary School and the 3rd year of High School in the municipal education network.

Mode and Class Schedules

The language classes are in-person and take place in 58 CEU units distributed throughout the city. The class schedules vary according to the period:

Morning: from 7:00 AM to 9:15 AM and from 9:35 AM to 11:50 AM
Afternoon: from 1:00 PM to 3:15 PM and from 3:35 PM to 5:50 PM

The courses are structured into basic, intermediate, and advanced modules, allowing for gradual progression of learning.

Benefits and Teaching Materials

Students enrolled in the free courses have access to their own teaching materials and receive a credit of R$ 156.60 for the purchase of school supplies, an amount provided through the Kit Escolar DUEPAY app.

How to Enroll

Enrollment can be done at any time and in person at the service counters of the CEUs Training Poles (check the addresses here). To secure a spot, students must present an ID, the ID and CPF of the responsible party, proof of residence, and registration data in the municipal education network. At the time of enrollment, students can choose their desired language. The availability of each course in specific units can be checked at the participating CEUs.
