Why Pay Attention to Oil?

Largest Oil Companies by Production
The data released is from Brand Finance published in 2021 that bets on who the 25th largest oil companies in the world are. Unfortunately, Petrobras does not appear in the ranking.
1 – Shell Oil Company
The first on the list is Shell Oil Company, better known as Shell. It is a Dutch company.
The largest oil producer in the world had a net profit of 42.156 million dollars in the first quarter of 2021. However, compared to the previous year, it fell by more than 5 million reais, when the recorded net profit was 47.529 million dollars.
2 – Saudi Arabian Oil Company
In second place is the Saudi Arabian Oil Company, known as Saudi Aramco. It was the world leader in oil production, reaching over 10 million barrels of oil per day. However, last year it lost half of its profit and ended up with only 37.479 million dollars in net profit in the first quarter of 2021.
Saudi Arabian has the second largest crude oil reserve in the world and accounts for about 10% of the global crude oil supply.
3 – PetroChina
In third place is PetroChina, the largest oil company in China, ranking third in the world with a net profit of 31.415 million dollars in the first quarter of the year. And just like Saudi Arabian, PetroChina also lost profits from 2020 to 2021. Last year, its net worth was 38.028 million dollars.
4 – Sinopec
In fourth place, also from China, is the Sinopec group with a net value of 26.398 million dollars, also losing its profit compared to the previous year. Sinopec reached first place in the ranking of the largest oil companies in the world in 2018.
5 – BP
In fifth place is the British company BP with a profit in the first quarter of 2021 of 21.367 million reais, also losing profit compared to the previous year.
6 – Total
