Assaí Wholesaler is offering more than 250 job openings in Fortaleza this Thursday (12). The job openings are for the new unit of the company, which will still be inaugurated. This store belonged to the Extra supermarket chain, being one of the 70 units of Extra that were acquired by Assaí.
In total, three establishments that were under the Extra brand in Fortaleza will become Assaí:
- Extra Parangaba;
- Extra Montese;
- Extra Mister Hull.
According to Assaí Wholesaler, the new store in Fortaleza will generate up to 50% more job openings compared to the Extra supermarket. Workers who were employed at Extra will have priority in the selection process. The store is being renovated and will have ample parking.

Maintenance Assistant
- Requirements: Completed High School; Minimum age of 21 years; Essential NR 10 (regulatory standard 10) updated.
- Main Responsibilities: Responsible for assisting in the maintenance and prevention of the functioning of refrigerators, generator, and scales in the store; Carry out necessary repairs, inspect store lighting, checking for outages; Maintain the conservation of equipment and facilities according to company procedures; Perform air conditioning cleaning; Carry out minor repairs of paintings, locks, unclogging toilets and sinks.
Cashier
- Requirements: Completed High School; Age range: Minimum 18 years.
- Main Responsibilities: Responsible for providing support in the operation of cash registers (Registration/Treasury/Cashier Support); Conduct counting cash for cash register opening and closing; Count coins sent by customers and fill out a purchase voucher in the checked amount to facilitate customer payments at checkout; Cover cash register, when necessary; Experience with cash register closing, bloodless operations, treasury and customer service in person and by phone.
Forklift Operator
- Requirements: Completed High School; Age range: Minimum 21 years; Course: Updated Forklift and CNH – category B.
- Main Responsibilities: Responsible for operating the forklift in the store and warehouse; Perform loading and unloading of goods, placing goods on high shelves, respecting the FIFO system (first in, first out) and never exceeding the weight specified for the forklift; Proven experience in the position operating a forklift in a warehouse and store and experience with electric forklifts.
