67 Million Dollars Invested in the Jacarandá Solar Power Plant
The Jacarandá solar plant will have an installed capacity of 187 MWp and will feature more than 450,000 modules. It will generate enough energy to meet a considerable part of the energy needs of the Aratu plant, owned by Dow.
According to the average consumption of a Brazilian family, the amount of energy generated would be sufficient to supply a city of 750,000 inhabitants.

Researchers discover a possible hydrogen deposit of up to 46 million tons beneath an ancient coal basin, and the volume could exceed half of the entire global production.
Additionally, the plant will avoid the emission of approximately 35,000 tons of CO2 per year, according to the GHG (Greenhouse Gases) Protocol, a methodology developed by the World Resources Institute that follows the method used by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and is aligned with Dow’s Global Emissions Inventory (GEI).
The volume of CO2 emissions that will be avoided can be compared to removing 36,800 vehicles from the streets of São Paulo.
