Historical Sale of Magda Jirasol Gengis Khan N.T at the Nação do Gir Leiteiro Auction Highlights Advance of Brazilian Genetics and Attracts International Investors
During ExpoZebu 2025, held in Uberaba (MG), the cow Magda Jirasol Gengis Khan N.T achieved a historic milestone. Valued at R$ 3.36 million, she became the most valuable cow of the Gir Leiteiro breed in Brazil. The highlight occurred at the traditional Nação do Gir Leiteiro Auction, when 50% of her shares were sold to a group of Colombian investors for R$ 1,680,000, in 30 installments of R$ 56 thousand.
Magda belongs to JC Seba Pecuária, located in Uberlândia (MG). The auction result drew attention from the industry and reinforced the growing importance of Brazilian genetics in the international dairy farming landscape.
Importance of Gir Leiteiro in National Production
The Gir Leiteiro, the breed to which Magda belongs, plays a central role in milk production in tropical regions. Originating from Indian Zebu cattle, this breed has perfectly adapted to the Brazilian climate. Today, it is one of the genetic bases of the main dairy improvement programs in the country.

Among her achievements are: Grand Champion and Best Adult Udder National in 2022; Grand Champion and Best Udder at ExpoLeite in 2023; Reserve Grand Champion and Best Adult Udder National also in 2023; and Grand Champion and Best Adult Udder at Lins Pecuária Show in 2024.
Magda is the result of the crossing between Gengis Khan de Brasília and Jirasol FIV F. Mutum, renowned lines in the national Gir Leiteiro. Her mother, Fase TE F. Mutum, also stands out, with a production of 11,456 kg of milk in one year.
Work of JC Seba Pecuária
The success of Magda also highlights the work of JC Seba Pecuária, led by Fernando Seba. The farm has established itself as one of the leading breeders of the breed in Brazil, with a strong presence in embryo production, genetic improvement, and development of high genetic value matrices.
Located in Uberlândia (MG), JC Seba combines technical rigor, precision management, and careful selection. The sale of Magda reinforces the farm’s prominence in Brazil and enhances its international visibility.
International Expansion of Brazilian Genetics
The negotiation with the Colombian group also highlights the growing international interest in Brazilian zebu cattle genetics. Tropical countries seek animals that combine high productivity with heat resistance and robustness, characteristics present in the Gir Leiteiro.
The valuation achieved reflects the technological advancement of national livestock farming and the professionalization of genetic improvement programs. Magda Jirasol Gengis Khan N.T thus becomes not only a show champion but also an ambassador of Brazilian genetics abroad.
