The Bank of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Banrisul, announced the opening of yet another public competition with 824 available positions for those interested in pursuing a career as a Clerk. According to the announcement, to participate, one must have a completed high school education.
Of the total positions that will be filled through the selection process, 103 will be reserved for people with disabilities (PwDs), 131 reserved for black individuals, 39 will be reserved for transgender individuals, and another 39 for indigenous people.
How Much Does a Clerk at Banrisul Earn?
Those approved in the public competition will have an initial total income of R$ 4,852.89, which includes a salary of R$ 2,664.93, a food allowance of R$ 1,173.54, and a meal voucher of R$ 1,014.42. After the first 90 days, the salary will be recalculated to R$ 2,963.01, which will raise the remuneration to R$ 5,150.97.

Registrations for the Banrisul Competition Are Open Until December 7, 2022
Last Friday, the 18th, the website of the organizing body, Fundação Cesgranrio, began to accept registrations for the competition. Interested participants can register until 11:59 PM on December 7.
To register, it is necessary to pay a fee of R$ 45 for participation in the selection process. However, individuals with disabilities and whose monthly income does not exceed one and a half minimum wages per family member may request an exemption from this fee.
Individuals who fit this profile must request the fee exemption on the Fundação Cesgranrio website. Requests will be accepted until November 25.
Banrisul Competition Exam Will Be Held on January 22, 2023
A written exam will serve as the criterion by which competitors for the Banrisul competition are selected. The evaluation is scheduled for January 22, 2023, and is expected to last four and a half hours. There will be 80 questions, 25 of which will cover basic knowledge and 55 covering specific knowledge.
The exam will be held in the following cities in the state of Rio Grande do Sul:
- Caxias do Sul
- Novo Hamburgo
- Passo Fundo
- Pelotas
- Porto Alegre
- Santa Cruz do Sul
- Santa Maria
- Santo Ângelo
After the preliminary phase, candidates will be ranked according to their total scores, first by micro-region, then by macro-region, and finally by overall ranking.
It will be essential to score at least fifty percent of the total available points on the written exam to be approved in the Banrisul competition, in addition to achieving fifty percent or more of the points available in the Basic Knowledge or Specific Knowledge categories.
The exam will be divided into eight categories of knowledge, and candidates cannot obtain a score of 0 in any of them, as follows:
- Portuguese Language
- Mathematics
- Current Issues in the Financial Market
- Financial Mathematics
- Banking Knowledge
- Computer Knowledge
- Sales and Negotiation
- Ethics and Diversity
On March 15, after the conclusion of all phases of the competition, the approved candidates will be announced. After approval, the selection will be valid for a period of two years, which may be extended for an equal period.
