According to the secretary, the government is adopting mechanisms to guarantee that there will be no further delay in the works.
About the works on the North Section of the Rodoanel, in São Paulo
The entire Rodoanel adds up to 176,5 km. Work on the stretch will make the road converge with Avenida Raimundo Pereira Magalhães (SP-332), while, in the East Section, it will meet with Presidente Dutra Highway (BR-116). Four lanes per direction between the Rodoanel Oeste and the Fernão Dias highway (BR-381) and three lanes in the section between Fernão Dias (BR-381) and Via Dutra (BR-116) will be implemented.
In December 2018, the deadline for completing the works had already been extended to 2019, which was again delayed. The stretch has already cost R$ 7,3 billion and, according to the government's accounts, approximately R$ 2 billion will be spent to complete the project.
