Technological Cooperation And Artificial Intelligence In Patent Examination
The agenda of international technological cooperation was the focus of the panel discussion titled “Strategic Implementation And Management Of Artificial Intelligence Risks In Patent Examination Processes.”
INPI presented experiences and challenges related to the use of intelligent systems that assist in verifying the originality and relevance of inventions.
This approach aims to optimize analysis time, reduce the risks of inconsistency, and improve the technical quality of opinions.
According to the Institute, the integration of artificial intelligence into industrial property processes is an irreversible trend and should strengthen global technological cooperation among patent offices.
Sustainable Innovation And Improvement In Third-Party Observation System
During the international meeting on patent treaty, INPI also announced the document “Improvements In The Third-Party Observation System – Analysis Of An Observation,” which will be presented at the Meeting Of International Authorities.
The proposal creates the possibility for the applicant or a third party interested to request the International Searching Authority (ISA) or the International Preliminary Examination Authority (IPEA) for an analysis of the relevance of a submitted document.
This measure reinforces transparency and sustainable innovation in the examination process, allowing for more technical and collaborative decisions.
This model directly contributes to a more efficient global industrial property environment, ethical and connected to the new demands of the technological market.
Global Research And Strengthening Brazilian Industrial Property
Global patent research was identified as essential for improving the national innovation system.
INPI’s participation in forums like this expands technical exchange with foreign institutions and allows Brazil to adopt more modern practices of technological cooperation.
Moreover, it reinforces the country’s image as an active participant in the international governance of industrial property.
The sharing of data and methodologies among patent offices strengthens legal security, recognition of inventors, and the development of technologies that drive sustainable economic growth.
Strategic Role Of Brazil In Innovation And Global Economy
INPI’s presence at the international meeting on patent treaty highlights Brazil’s strategic role in the scenario of sustainable innovation and international technological cooperation.
The initiative demonstrates commitment to modernizing processes, strengthening industrial property, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence to make patent analysis more transparent and efficient.
Thus, the country progresses in the global dialogue on science, technology, and intellectual property, promoting a more inclusive and collaborative research environment.
