Suspended structure over the sea, total integration with the landscape and private accommodation proposal place loft in Paraty among the most unique properties on the Brazilian coast, combining preserved nature, transparent architecture and restricted access in an experience focused on comfort and privacy.

An old structure used as a nautical support in a bay of Paraty, on the southern coast of Rio de Janeiro, has been converted into a high-standard loft with three suites, glass walls and an open view of the sea.

Suspended over the water and surrounded by the Atlantic Forest, the property integrates with Bom Jardim, accessible by boat from the city pier.

Transformation of boat house into luxury loft in Paraty

The transformation preserved the most unique feature of the construction: the direct relationship with the bay.

Instead of altering the old boat house, the project repositioned its function and maintained the connection with the landscape as a central element of the experience.

The result was a space aimed at private accommodation, with strong natural light, integrated circulation, and constant openings to the surroundings.

The Loft Bom Jardim is part of a larger seaside complex linked to the Foz-Adamiu family, which has a long-standing presence in the region and has more systematically incorporated the area into the hospitality operation in Paraty in recent years.

According to Forbes Brazil, the property is part of an exclusive accommodation offer associated with the Sandi Hotel, in a property reserved about fifteen minutes by boat from the center.

What is the loft like: size, suites, and integration with nature

The internal configuration helps explain the appeal of the address.

According to Forbes Brazil, the loft has 400 square meters and was designed to accommodate few guests, focusing on privacy and visual integration with the landscape.

One of the suites is classified as a master suite, while the others are distributed in an environment that prioritizes spaciousness, transparency, and constant contact with the sea and vegetation.

In the master suite, the framing opens to the bay, and the ambiance includes a bathtub.

The other rooms face the forest, reinforcing the feeling of tranquility without losing brightness.

The kitchen has been integrated with the living room and connects to a wooden deck, enhancing the continuity between interior and exterior and reducing the separation between living areas and the natural scenery around.

Structure over the water maintains nautical origin as a differential

This relationship with the water is not limited to the visual aspect.

Since it is practically anchored over the sea, the property still preserves a functionality inherited from its origin, allowing support for small boats at the bottom of the construction.

Instead of hiding the utilitarian past, the renovation converted this aspect into an architectural and commercial differential, reinforcing the image of a loft suspended over the bay and aimed at discreet stays.

Private beach and area of 30 thousand m² enhance sense of refuge

On the outside, the scale of the property amplifies the idea of refuge.

According to Forbes Brazil, the land includes a 30 thousand square meter private garden and a beach of about 300 meters, in addition to preserved vegetation.

The combination of calm sea, dense forest, and controlled access shifts the interest from the urban axis of Paraty to an experience centered on nature, comfort, and low circulation.

New profile of accommodation in Paraty values privacy and exclusivity

This shift in focus helps to understand why the property has stood out in reports about luxury hospitality.

While much of the public image of Paraty remains associated with the historic center and cultural calendar, the Loft Bom Jardim has come to represent another layer of the destination.

The proposal focuses on the search for private accommodations, surrounded by nature and with services linked to more personalized hotel operations.

Decoration mixes caiçara references and contemporary design

The decoration has also been built to support this identity.

According to published descriptions, the space features lithographs of birds and plants from the Atlantic Forest, indigenous objects related to hunting and fishing, nautical references, and contemporary furniture.

The ensemble avoids breaking with the caiçara imagery of the surroundings and, at the same time, organizes these elements under a cleaner visual language, designed to enhance framing, natural materials, and prolonged permanence.

Bom Jardim property brings together family history and hotel operation

The history of the Bom Jardim complex helps to gauge the weight of this transformation.

The area includes the main house and the loft, both facing the sea, in an operation that combines exclusivity, preserved nature, and low occupancy density.

In this context, the loft stands out for bringing together attributes that rarely appear in the same property.

The nautical origin, the implantation almost over the water, the transparency of the facades, the reserved beach, and the immediate proximity to the Atlantic Forest form an unusual set even within the high-end market.

More than an aesthetic renovation, the intervention reorganized the vocation of the building and transformed an old boat house into a destination aimed at private accommodation in one of the most sought-after stretches of the Costa Verde.
