With Clarity, Group Helps Companies Manage Risks and Opportunities in Supply Chains and Communicate Sustainability Results More Transparently
In addition to financial performance and innovation capacity, companies are now evaluated by their positive impact on people and the planet. Given this scenario, Bureau Veritas, a global leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC), expands its portfolio of Sustainability solutions and launches Clarity, a tool that helps leaders analyze ESG practices across their supply chains. The solution provides a comprehensive view of the maturity of agendas in companies and their supplier networks, facilitating decision-making and communication of results to stakeholders with greater transparency and credibility.
“Trust is one of the absolute values of Bureau Veritas and has guided our work for 195 years. Data shows that 87% of consumers and 99% of investors make their decisions based on the level of commitment of companies to Sustainability. We developed Clarity so that our clients can better understand the impact of their actions, including in supplier selection, and strengthen their stakeholders’ trust by proving, through solid goals and indicators, that they act responsibly throughout their value chain,” explains Andressa Lisboa, Director of Certification and Auditing at Bureau Veritas.
Clarity uses a framework with over 600 indicators, compiled from Bureau Veritas’ global operations in projects related to Environmental, Social Responsibility, and Corporate Governance. Such reach allows the tool to analyze a wide range of topics, from ESG pillars to more specific issues like Climate Change, Biodiversity, Sustainable Procurement, Energy Efficiency, and Animal Welfare. With this, leaders can monitor the overall performance of the company, as well as the opportunities and specific risks of a particular operation or point in the supply chain. For transnational companies or those with very complex operations, the solution helps standardize the assessment, taking into account the variation and particularity of the different sites involved.
