By announcing the introduction of two new electric vehicles in Brazilian territory, the company is taking significant steps towards a more accessible and versatile sustainable mobility.
BYD Dolphin Set Sales Record at Its Launch in Brazil
A month after its launch, the BYD Dolphin electric car has already made a huge splash in the Brazilian market, with sales exceeding 3,000 units. With an innovative design, the Dolphin is equipped with a 91 hp electric motor powered by a 44.9 kWh battery. This configuration ensures an estimated range of up to 294 km on a full charge, according to Inmetro. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 160 km/h.
By the end of this year (2023), BYD will introduce the electric sedan Seal to the Brazilian market, which is set to become the electric car with the highest range in the country, with an estimated price of R$ 400 thousand. With motor options ranging from 204 hp to 530 hp – equivalent to that of a combustion Porsche – and batteries with ranges between 550 km and 700 km, the Seal represents the pinnacle of electric performance.
