Amado Batista Sold His Farm for an Impressive R$ 350 Million! The Deal Shocked the Agribusiness Sector and Revealed Surprising Details About the Singer’s Rural Empire.

The sale of a farm by country singer Amado Batista for R$ 350 million took the agribusiness market by surprise and reinforced the heating of the sector in Brazil.

The transaction, confirmed by the Metrópoles portal, represents one of the largest financial movements in agribusiness in 2025 and highlights the appreciation of productive land in Mato Grosso.

The property, located in Cocalinho (MT), features state-of-the-art infrastructure, including a landing strip, rivers, lakes, and an estimated herd of 17,000 cattle.

With 7,200 km² of productive area, the farm has always been one of the best-structured in the region, utilizing cutting-edge technology to optimize both livestock and agriculture.

Sale Was the Result of Years of Negotiation and Bureaucratic Challenges

The singer had already expressed interest in selling the property since 2021, when the market became aware of the negotiation through a public announcement.

Despite the high value involved, the process took years to conclude, partly due to the complexity of the negotiations and also the bureaucratic issues related to the rural sector.

Among the challenges faced by the singer was a R$ 1 million environmental fine imposed by Ibama in 2014, due to alleged infractions related to deforestation.

However, this did not prevent agribusiness investors from showing interest in the property.

From Singer to Major Cattle Rancher: The Journey of Amado Batista in Agribusiness

Amado Batista, originally from Catalão (GO), has built a musical career spanning over four decades, selling around 40 million albums and releasing hits like “Princesa”, “Secretária” and “Meu Ex-Amor”.

However, besides his stardom on stage, he has also become one of Brazil’s largest cattle ranchers.

Since the 1980s, Batista has invested in agribusiness, acquiring farms in Goiás and Mato Grosso.

With a strategic vision for business, he has consolidated a cattle empire and started generating million-dollar revenues from livestock production.

“Amado has always known how to balance music and business. He has an intelligent strategy for expanding his activities in the field,” commented singer and friend Sérgio Reis, who is also an investor in the agribusiness sector.

Million-Dollar Deal, but Without Leaving the Sector

Despite the sale of the farm, Amado Batista is not leaving the agribusiness.

He continues to manage several properties and sells around 25,000 cattle annually, ensuring revenue that exceeds R$ 135 million per year.

“I have always liked the countryside and learned to invest in it. Agribusiness was a natural path for me,” the singer stated in previous interviews.

Who Purchased Amado Batista’s Farm?

The buyer of the farm was Grupo Ouro Verde, a conglomerate in the agribusiness sector based in Silvânia (GO).

The company focuses on grain production and seeks to expand its operation in Mato Grosso, one of the most strategic regions for food production in Brazil.

Impact on the Agribusiness Market

The sale of the property reinforces the trend of appreciation of agricultural land and the strong interest of investors in the sector.

Mato Grosso, the largest producer of soybean and beef in the country, remains one of the most promising destinations for large companies and rural producers.

“Mato Grosso continues to be the center of opportunities in agribusiness. Well-structured properties always attract large investors,” explains market analyst Eduardo Lima.

Amado Batista’s journey proves that, beyond success in music, he also managed to build a legacy in agriculture, becoming one of Brazil’s most successful cattle ranchers.

If he conquered millions of fans on stage, he established himself as one of the big names in the agribusiness sector.
