The Course Offered by UFRRJ Is Specific for Public Agents and Offers Training with Online Classes and In-Person Meetings

The Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ) announced the opening of 150 spots for the free distance specialization in Data Analysis as a Method of Support for Public Policies. The course will be offered by the Open University of Brazil Program (UAB) and aims to qualify professionals for analysis and interpretation of data in public management, according to the website Hora Brasil.

With 405 hours of course load and a duration of three semesters, the postgraduate program will be taught in a virtual environment but will include in-person meetings at teaching centers located in:

Cantagalo – RJ
Nova Friburgo – RJ
Petrópolis – RJ
Rio das Flores – RJ
Três Rios – RJ

Specialization Subjects of UFRRJ’s Online Course

The curriculum note of UFRRJ’s course is structured to provide technical and applied knowledge in data analysis. Check out some of the subjects:

1st Semester: Information Technology for Public Management, Exploratory Data Analysis and Visualization, Law and Public Policies.
2nd Semester: Probability and Statistical Inference, Regional Development, Statistical Modeling.
3rd Semester: Multivariate Analysis, Development and Analysis of Public Projects, Spatial Statistics.

Additionally, the Final Paper (TCC) will be developed throughout the specialization and defended via videoconference.

Who Can Enroll in UFRRJ’s Online Courses?

The specialization is aimed at federal, state, and municipal agents who hold a degree recognized by the MEC. If there are still available spots after the selection of this public, other applicants may be called.

Interested parties must also have access to a computer with internet, basic computer skills, and availability to participate in online and in-person activities.
