The bidding opened in September and had six competitors. Now, the process moves forward to contract signing.
The company submitted a bid of R$ 92,097,500.00, the highest received by the port authority, thus winning over the other competitors.
Dock 3 is one of the most important structures of the Port Of Imbituba. It was built over 40 years ago and is responsible for 30% of all cargo handling carried out at the Santa Catarina complex.
Thus, carrying out infrastructure works and operational improvements will bring even more quality to the expansion of these impressive numbers.
The main objective of the Port Of Imbituba’s works project at the dock is to expand the navigation capacity of the ships that arrive at the location.
Currently, the maximum permitted height is 205 meters. After the renovations by Cejen Engenharia, it will rise to 271 meters.
The works will also allow the installation of new cargo handling equipment, such as a shiploader of up to 2,500 tons/hour, increasing the operational capacity of the Port Of Imbituba.
Cejen Engenharia Should Complete Infrastructure Works At Dock 3 Within 30 Months Alongside The Port Of Imbituba
According to the tender conducted by the Port Of Imbituba, Cejen Engenharia should complete the infrastructure works at Dock 3 within 30 months.
To achieve this, the project will be divided into four stages, thus ensuring greater control over the renovations.
Among the renovation activities that the company will undertake, the main ones include surface and deep repairs to the concrete, laying rigid pavement in part of the back area, and strengthening the structural foundations.
It will also be responsible for adjusting the drainage and will finish the project with the construction of two dolphins for mooring/tying up vessels.
Thus, the Port Of Imbituba will open its doors to new businesses and will become even more relevant in the national port scenario.
