Hybrid Version Of CHERY TIGGO 4 Presented In China With Updated Design, Efficient Performance And Details Indicating A Technological Leap Over The Brazilian Model
The CHERY TIGGO 4 hybrid has been attracting attention in China for combining energy efficiency and modern design in a package that promises to reposition the model among compact SUVs. Equipped with a 1.5 naturally aspirated engine and a mild hybrid system, the vehicle achieves an estimated consumption of 18 km per liter, combining agile urban performance with quieter and more economical driving.
According to automotive specialist Stanley Ravagnani, although there is still no forecast for arrival in Brazil, the model shows significant advancements in the Chinese brand’s strategy for its upcoming releases. The new CHERY TIGGO 4 hybrid brings a superior interior finish, driver assistance technologies (ADAS) and a more refined exterior design, coming closer to the standards of larger models like Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8.
Renewed Design And More Sophisticated Lines

The new CHERY TIGGO 4 hybrid adopts a more modern look than the SUV currently sold in Brazil.

Fiat launches the new 2027 Toro hybrid with 48V, 176 hp, an electric motor of 15.5 hp, a 0.85 kWh battery, up to 7% fuel savings, 8% fewer emissions, and possible exemption from IPVA.
The front features full LED headlights with vertical daytime running light signature, a diamond-finish grille, and a body-colored integrated bumper.
This combination gives the vehicle a more robust and technological presence.
At the rear, the highlight is the LED light cluster with a continuous bar under transparent acrylic, a solution inspired by premium SUVs.
The exterior finish includes shiny black side trims and 17-inch alloy wheels, reinforcing the urban and sophisticated look.
The result is a car with a higher category appearance, even while remaining among the brand’s entry-level versions.
Enhanced Interior And Focus On Comfort
Inside, the CHERY TIGGO 4 hybrid surprises with its level of finish. The dashboard uses rubberized materials, leather details, and textures that simulate wood.
The multimedia center integrated with the onboard computer features quick touch response and wireless compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The multifunction steering wheel is the same standard as the Tiggo 8 and Tiggo 9 models, with touch-sensitive controls and a flat bottom.
Comfort has also evolved, with quality fabric seats, enhanced acoustic insulation, and dual-zone digital air conditioning.
Even being a compact SUV, the interior space is generous, with a nearly flat center tunnel and air vents for the rear seat.
Performance, Consumption And Mild Hybrid System
The hybrid system of the CHERY TIGGO 4 combines the 1.5 naturally aspirated combustion engine with a lightweight auxiliary electric motor, requiring no charging from a wall outlet.
The setup uses a CVT transmission and prioritizes efficiency during acceleration and in urban traffic.
During tests conducted in China, the SUV achieved an average fuel consumption of around 18 km/l, an impressive result for a model with front-wheel drive and continuously variable transmission.
The dynamic behavior is balanced, with light electric steering and a McPherson front suspension similar to those of Brazilian models.
Technology And Safety Of Higher Segments
Even though it is not the most expensive version, the CHERY TIGGO 4 hybrid comes equipped with safety features uncommon in the segment.
The package includes front collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control (ACC), and blind spot detection.
Additionally, the vehicle features a high-resolution rearview camera, parking sensors, and a driver attention assist that emits alerts if the driver gets distracted by their phone or the multimedia system.
These systems reinforce the brand’s commitment to raising safety standards in its entry-level models.
Perspective Of Arrival In Brazil And Market Impact
For now, the CHERY TIGGO 4 hybrid is restricted to the Chinese market, where it serves as a technological showcase for future exports.
If the version reaches Brazil, it should occupy the range below the Tiggo 5x, offering an affordable hybrid alternative focused on consumption and connectivity.
Experts believe that the Chinese automaker’s strategy could pressure competitors like Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, and Honda HR-V, especially if the price is competitive.
The model has the potential to be the cheapest hybrid from the brand, with a technology package superior to conventional rivals.
The CHERY TIGGO 4 hybrid shows that the Chinese brand is ready to take a step further in the compact SUV segment, betting on efficiency and sophistication.
The updated design, exemplary consumption, and technological advances make the model a preview of what we can expect in the coming years from the brand in Brazil.

Sonho de consumo, beleza desempenho economia, show!
