New Chevrolet ‘Corsa Classic’ Is Revived and Is Back for R$ 50,000. The Car in Question Is the Chevrolet Aveo 2024, Which Promises to Be the ‘Corsa Classic of the New Generation’.
Chevrolet, a famous automaker known and loved by everyone who uses its vehicles daily, is reviving the ‘Chevrolet Corsa Classic’, but much cheaper than the Onix in Peru, for around R$ 50,000, surprising everyone.
New Chevrolet Car Comes in Two Versions
According to data released by the media last Sunday (25), the automaker, which is part of the conglomerate companies of General Motors, has teamed up with the Chinese giant, SAIC, and is reviving a model very similar to the ‘Chevrolet Corsa Classic’, but this time with the name Chevrolet Aveo 2024, in yet another Latin American market, this time in Peru, under the name Sail.
According to the information, this generation of the new Chevrolet car, which was launched in the country with a new name, has been part of the brand’s global portfolio since last year, being sold in countries like Chile, Mexico, and now in Peru, all imported from the factory in Tianjin, China.

The new Chevrolet car arrives to meet the demand in emerging markets and has positioned itself in the Latin American market as one of the cheapest alternatives to the Brazilian Onix Plus, given that in Peru, where the latest launch of the ‘Chevrolet Corsa Classic’ occurred, prices start from R$ 50,000, ranging from 46,162 soles, which in direct conversion is around R$ 59,300.
The new generation Chevrolet Aveo 2024, known as Sail in Peru, comes in two versions, consisting of the LT and LTZ trims, with a simple design, that closely resembles the Corsa Classic, which was one of the brand’s classics in Brazil.

On the outside, the lines of the ‘new Chevrolet Corsa Classic’ are relatively simple and not very bold. The front features rectangular headlights, a grille with a chrome strip, and a bumper with unpainted details. At the rear, the highlight is the horizontally positioned taillights separated by the trunk lid. The interior has horizontal lines on the dashboard and mixes different colors in the trim, despite the apparent simplicity of the materials.
Depending on the version, the equipment list of the new Chevrolet Aveo 2024 includes an 8-inch multimedia center compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, reversing sensors, automatic air conditioning, steering wheel controls, 6 airbags, seat belt warning for all five seats, disc brakes on all four wheels, and ABS.
Completing the package are electronic stability control, a rearview camera, and tire pressure monitoring. Under the hood, the 1.5 gasoline aspirated engine delivers 99 hp and is the only option available.
Chevrolet Spin Will Arrive in Brazil Soon
In addition to the Chevrolet Aveo 2024 arriving in Peru, production of the new Chevrolet Spin 2025 is already underway at the factory in São Caetano do Sul. Although distribution has not yet started, the model has been spotted being transported on a car carrier, leaving the ABC Paulista unit with eight units.
Currently, GM is gradually increasing the production of the model equipped with an aspirated engine, aiming to build a significant stock in the brand’s yards in the ABC region.
The model will be treated as a new generation, although it is merely a deep facelift, maintaining the platform and the 1.8 engine, betting on a design more similar to the latest releases and a more complete technological package.
