The Laranjeiras Condo, located near the historic center of the city, has established itself as one of the main destinations for the Revo fleet, a digital air mobility platform owned by the Portuguese group Omni Helicopters International (OHI).

The Importance of the Laranjeiras Condo for Air Mobility
According to a report published by the newspaper Bloomberg Línea, the place, which gathers mansions of Brazilian billionaire families, has become the second busiest helipad in the country for Revo, only behind the route connecting Faria Lima Avenue to São Paulo International Airport, in Guarulhos.
This information was confirmed by Revo’s CEO, João Welsh, in an interview granted to the same outlet.
The platform, which began its operations in Brazil in 2023, was surprised to find that many billionaires with private jets also opt for its helicopter services for travel within the country.
“One of the surprises we had since the launch of Revo in 2023 was seeing that billionaires, who have their own jets, also seek our services,” Welsh stated during an event at the private Catarina airport, owned by JHSF, in São Roque (SP).
Located about 25 kilometers from Paraty’s historic center, the Laranjeiras Condo occupies an area of 1,131 hectares, with 95% of the land preserved by the Atlantic Forest.
Designed in the 1970s, the development stands out for the rare combination of mountain and sea in a plain.
Some of Brazil’s most influential families, such as the Setubal and Villela (Itaú), Marinho (Globo), Moraes (Votorantim), Saad (Bandeirantes), Camargo (Construtora Camargo Corrêa), Klabin (paper and pulp industry), and Klein (Casas Bahia), either live or have lived there.
Exclusive Routes and Destinations of Revo in the Coast and Interior of São Paulo
According to investigations by Bloomberg Línea, in addition to Paraty, Revo operates other routes that connect important coastal destinations and high-end residential areas, primarily in the State of São Paulo.
Among these locations are Juquehy Beach and Ilhabela on the northern coast, and Guarujá in the Baixada Santista, where the Jardim Acapulco condo stands out for its exclusivity and high property values.
According to Revo’s CEO, there is a clear trend he calls “the beach house as a third residence.”
Many families living in São Paulo have a second home in the countryside — in places like Fazenda Boa Vista or Quinta da Baroneza — and the third property is the beach house, which they prefer to reach by helicopter, avoiding traffic jams and long car trips.
The Laranjeiras Condo is not the only residential complex with flights operated by Revo.
The newspaper also pointed out that Fazenda Boa Vista, in Porto Feliz (about 100 km from the capital), was the first condominium to have this service.
Today, it occupies the third position among the busiest routes on the platform.
Quinta da Baroneza, located in Bragança Paulista, is another helipad widely used.
Executive Air Mobility in São Paulo and the Impact of the BTG Pactual Terminal
Revo’s air mobility is not limited to the coast and interior of São Paulo.
In the city of São Paulo, the company operates routes that connect Guarulhos Airport to financial centers, using helipads located in high-end buildings such as the Internacional Plaza II, at the corner of Faria Lima and Juscelino Kubitschek, and the Cidade Jardim Continental Tower, on Marginal Pinheiros.
In Barueri, in the Alphaville region, another exclusive residential condo also receives Revo flights.
The inauguration of the private terminal of the BTG Pactual bank at the Guarulhos airport, in December 2024, further boosted the demand for these executive flights.
The terminal offers comfort and agility for financial and corporate profile passengers who use Revo’s services.
According to Welsh, the route between Faria Lima and Guarulhos represents between 20% and 30% of the platform’s flights, depending on the time of year.
The journey takes about eight to ten minutes, with an average cost of R$ 2,500 per sold seat.
At the São Paulo airport, VIP services also include Volvo cars available to BTG clients, who are taken from the terminal to the airplane, ensuring comfort and safety during the transition between modes.
Expansion of Revo and the Next Challenges for Urban Air Mobility
With only two years of operation in Brazil, Revo has not yet reached financial breakeven.
The CEO João Welsh emphasizes that the investment is long-term and that the experience accumulated by the OHI Group, with 25 years of global operation in aviation, is an important differentiator for the platform’s consolidation in the country.
The Portuguese group has a history in transportation logistics for the oil and gas sector, including transporting professionals to Petrobras platforms offshore.
This knowledge contributes to Revo’s credibility, especially among high-net-worth clients who demand high standards of safety and service.
The company’s next challenge is to open a new route in the Paulista Avenue area, one of the main financial, cultural, and industrial centers of São Paulo.
The search for a suitable helipad involves evaluating the necessary infrastructure to serve customers, such as concierge space and waiting areas.
Not all helipads in the Jardins neighborhood are available for public use; the one at Hotel Emiliano, on Oscar Freire Street, is exclusive for guests.
In addition to São Paulo and Paraty, Revo also operates in Rio de Janeiro, with flights landing at Santos Dumont airport, located near the center of the capital.
In Rio, other helipads are preferred by the ultra-high-net-worth audience, such as Jacarepaguá airport, which facilitates access to neighborhoods like Barra da Tijuca and Recreio dos Bandeirantes, according to the CEO of the charter platform Flapper, Paul Malick.
To strengthen its image and expand brand reach, Revo counts on the support of celebrities who act as ambassadors for the platform, including Sig Bergamin, Álvaro Garnero, Fabi Saad, and Carol Bassi.
According to Welsh, the current group of ambassadors is sufficient to help consolidate the service and brand in the market.
The growing demand for helicopter flights in exclusive condominiums, like Laranjeiras, reveals a shift in the habits of the wealthiest families in the country, who seek fast, efficient, and safe mobility to their luxury residences, spread across the city, countryside, and coast.
With the advancement of urban and intermunicipal air mobility, the trend is for these routes to expand, increasingly connecting strategic destinations for high-net-worth audiences and consolidating the use of helicopters as a daily mode of transport for those looking to save time and avoid traffic.
