Factory Combines Sustainability and Smart Technology
The new industrial park brings together the most comprehensive and sustainable practices accumulated by the company over six decades. There are over 30 green and low-carbon measures, including smart hot water centers, optimized refrigeration systems, and photovoltaic energy generation.
With more than 30 integrated digital systems, the unit operates in a fully automated manner, from order receipt to packaging and shipping, utilizing sorting robots and automatically guided vehicles.
Coca-Cola announced that it intends to implement these sustainable and smart practices across all of its production bases in China, strengthening the resilience of its supply chain.
In the last three years, the Coca-Cola system in the country has invested in improvements in five units, expanding production capacity and incorporating smart technologies. In 2023, Swire Coca-Cola announced plans to invest over 12 billion yuan in the next decade in mainland China. The project in Hainan province will begin at the end of 2025, while the new factories in Suzhou (Jiangsu) and the Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) will become operational in 2026.
