Competition-Inspired Design, Subtle Aesthetic Changes, and the Same Mechanical Base Mark the Debut of the Special Edition of Honda’s Mid-Trail, Which Arrives in the Brazilian Market as the Most Expensive Option of the Conventional XR 300L, Keeping Focus on Off-Road Use and Sporting Identity.

Honda will expand the XR 300L Tornado lineup with the arrival of the Special Edition 2026, which maintains the mechanical package of the trail and bets on visual changes inspired by the brand’s competition history.

The suggested retail price is R$ 31.540, excluding shipping, and it is expected to arrive at dealerships starting in February 2026.

With less than two years since the model’s presentation in Brazil, this new addition marks the first special edition of the XR 300L.

According to Honda, the difference compared to the conventional version comes from “identification elements that highlight the sporty and unique character of this pure adventurer.”

Racing Design Reinforces the Off-Road Identity of the Tornado

In practice, the Special Edition retains the already known base of the Tornado and shifts the launch focus to identity.

The motorcycle continues in the red color debuted with the model, but now receives new graphics aimed at the racing universe, with references to off-road.

In addition to the stickers, Honda adopted a matte black finish on a set of components that, in the conventional Tornado, appear with a glossy black paint.

This list includes parts such as handlebar, wheels, frame, front fork, rear swingarm, and exhaust, creating a more pronounced contrast with the fairing.

Another detail that reinforces the sporty appeal is the presence of appliques with the number 300, in an attempt to bring the visual reading of the bike closer to that of competition models.

The aim is to enhance the personality geared towards off-road use, without altering the technical assembly.

293.5 cm³ Flex Engine Maintains the Numbers of the Conventional Version

The XR 300L Tornado Special Edition retains the 293.5 cm³ single-cylinder engine, four-stroke, air-cooled, with electronic fuel injection and a six-speed transmission.

It is the same set used in other models of the brand in the 300cc range.

In the Tornado configuration, the declared power is 24.3 hp at 7,500 rpm with gasoline and 24.8 hp at 7,500 rpm with ethanol, since the engine is flex.

The indicated torque is 2.70 kgf.m at 5,750 rpm with gasoline and 2.74 kgf.m at 5,750 rpm with ethanol.

Honda maintains the positioning of the XR 300L as an off-road focused trail, which explains the adjustments compared to more urban-use models of the same family.

The special edition was not created to deliver more performance, but to highlight identity and finishing.

Brakes with ABS and Trail-Suited Wheel Set

The braking system continues with disc brakes on both wheels and dual-channel ABS, as is already the case with the conventional XR 300L.

According to Honda, this feature enhances safety on different types of terrain without compromising the off-road proposal.

The wheel and tire configuration remains unchanged.

It features spoked wheels of 21 inches in the front and 18 inches in the rear, with tires 90/90-21 and 120/80-18.

The fuel tank maintains a capacity of 13.8 liters, with an exclusive design of the Tornado.

Weight, Dimensions, and Ground Clearance Remain Unchanged

Honda XR 300L Tornado Special Edition 2026 arrives in Brazil with racing visuals, ABS on both wheels, and a 293.5 cm³ engine for R$ 31.540 off-road.

The declared dry weight is 143 kg.

In dimensions, Honda states 2,201 mm in length, 1,429 mm in wheelbase, 1,298 mm in height and 268 mm of ground clearance.

These numbers reinforce the positioning of the Tornado as a trail with elevated ergonomics and suitability to face uneven terrains.

Price, Arrival at Stores, and Maintenance Plan

The XR 300L Tornado Special Edition will be available starting in February 2026, with a three-year warranty with no mileage limit.

The package includes free Pro Honda oil in seven maintenance services, with supply valid starting from the third service.

The maintenance interval is 6,000 km or six months, after the first service, which must occur at 1,000 km or six months, whichever comes first.

The suggested price is R$ 31.540, excluding shipping.

This price represents R$ 700 more compared to the conventional XR 300L Tornado.

With the arrival of the special edition, Honda expands the options of the lineup without altering the technical base of the model.

The aim is to cater to those seeking the same cycling and mechanics but with a more striking visual in line with the brand’s sporting heritage.
