The Solar Energy Systems Built with BYD’s New Module Line Will Feature High Technology for More Efficient Energy Production and the Company’s New Factory in Campinas Ensures a New Focus on the São Paulo Market

BYD announced last Tuesday, (04/19), the inauguration of its newest production line of modules for use in solar energy systems. The factory is located in Campinas, São Paulo, and features cutting-edge technology to ensure greater efficiency in the production capacity of this resource for those using the company’s photovoltaic modules.

New Production Line of BYD’s Photovoltaic Modules for Solar Energy Systems Guarantees Much More Efficiency with Cutting-Edge Technology Used in Equipment Manufacturing

In a meeting attended by the mayor of Campinas, Dário Saadi (Republicans), the global executive vice president of the company, Stella Li, and other authorities and media outlets, BYD announced the inauguration of its newest production line of photovoltaic modules in the São Paulo city, which will be used for the installation of solar energy systems throughout the state, with much more productive efficiency and energy utilization.

Thus, the company’s new factory features a high renewal of its equipment and processes like multi-busbar, half-cell, 1/3 cut cell, micro-gap, and negative-gap, as a way to ensure more technology in the production of the new line of photovoltaic modules. Consequently, the high-power, mono and bifacial modules, ranging from 450W to 670W, will guarantee a much more efficient energy production for solar energy systems, as the cutting-edge technology used in manufacturing allows for greater utilization of sunlight in energy conversion.

The expansion of BYD’s enterprise will also make it possible to perform lamination and encapsulation of conventional or double-glass modules, in addition to the high technology used in transforming the production processes of the new production line, which ensures BYD the possibility of tripling its capacity to reach 500 MW. This capacity is sufficient to supply a city with up to 750,000 inhabitants and will provide much more efficiency in BYD’s production and commercial chain in the energy market in Brazil throughout 2022.

Technology Used in BYD’s New Production Line of Photovoltaic Modules Ensures Greater Attraction of Consumers Who Will Invest in Solar Energy

BYD commented that the inauguration of the new production line with the technology used in manufacturing the modules guarantees not only an advancement for the company, which will achieve high productivity and commercialization, but also for the solar energy market in Brazil, which is increasingly expanding and requires viable solutions for better utilization of the potential for energy generation that the national territory possesses.

Thus, Adalberto Maluf, BYD Brazil’s director of marketing and sustainability, emphasizes that “The world has been heavily investing in the expansion of renewable energy sources, and Brazil has enormous potential to establish itself as one of the main leaders of this energy revolution, given that we have high solar irradiation, all the strategic minerals for local industrialization, and ample space for the growth of solar photovoltaic energy in complement to our predominantly hydro and renewable matrix.”

With the inauguration of the new production line in Campinas, BYD now has all the necessary equipment to measure and certify the photovoltaic modules developed in the Brazilian market. Thus, the company is advancing to become a benchmark in the production of equipment and the use of cutting-edge technology in this process.
