Current Situation of the Banco do Brasil Exam

Despite the promises, the Banco do Brasil stated that, “there is currently no definition about a new exam.” However, the extension of the contract with the Fundação Cesgranrio, organizer of the 2022 exam, until December 2025, increases the possibility of new notices soon. With this active contract, the Foundation may be responsible for future exams, including administering new tests in the first half of 2025, if the notice is released in 2024.

Expansion Proposals and New Positions

In August 2024, BB announced an ambitious proposal to expand its workforce. This includes 4,000 new positions for a role with a salary higher than that of a cashier, and 2,700 positions for customer service supervisors. There are also plans to create 500 positions for relationship managers. To encourage the relocation of employees to underserved areas, the bank will offer financial incentives, making the proposal even more attractive.

Competitive Compensation and Benefits

The role of bookkeeper, focused on commercial agency, is expected to be one of the most sought-after in the next notice. With a requirement for completed secondary education, it offers an initial salary of R$ 3,600, in addition to benefits such as:

For the role of technology agent, expectations are lower, as those approved in the 2022 exam may still be called until July 2025.

The most commonly tested subjects cover Portuguese, English, mathematics, and current events in the financial market, in addition to specific knowledge in financial mathematics, computer science, and negotiation. To prepare, start studying based on the last notice, facilitating adaptation to the new content when the Banco do Brasil exam is announced.

The TCU‘s recommendation for a specific notice for people with disabilities aims to ensure that 12.5% of positions are allocated for this group, meeting the minimum quota of 5% of people with disabilities in the workforce of BB.
