The Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) has just released the awaited announcement for the 2023 exam, offering an unmissable opportunity for those aiming for a career in Science and Technology. With the publication in the Official Gazette last Friday (12/15), the contest offers 50 positions for the role of Analyst in Science and Technology, establishing itself as a nationally significant initiative.

What Is the Salary Offered in the CAPES 2023 Contest?

The CAPES exam features an attractive salary, starting at R$ 7,025.48 and potentially reaching R$ 11,186.69, depending on the employee’s specialization.

For postgraduates, masters, and doctors, earnings vary according to the level of education, highlighting the value placed on continuing education.

When Will Registrations Open?

The organization of the exam is the responsibility of Cebraspe, and registrations will be accepted from December 22 to January 12, 2024.

The selection process includes objective and essay exams, scheduled for March 17, 2024.

Registrations for the CAPES exam must be completed on the Cebraspe website, with the registration period open from December 22, 2023, to January 12, 2024.

The registration fee, amounting to R$ 80, must be paid by February 2, 2024. Candidates from the CadÚnico program and bone marrow donors can request a fee exemption throughout the registration period.

Who Can Register?

The exam includes positions in the career of Analyst in Science and Technology, distributed across areas such as Library Science, Accounting, Statistics, and Computer Science.

The specific requirements for each position are detailed in the announcement, offering opportunities for professionals with different educational backgrounds.

What Will the CAPES Exam Be Like?

The CAPES exam will consist of objective tests, essay tests, and a title evaluation.

The objective tests, set for March 17, 2024, will contain 120 multiple-choice questions on basic and specific knowledge related to the position.

The essay tests will involve writing a dissertative text on specific topics in the field.

The title evaluation will consider professional experience and the degrees of specialization, master’s, and doctorate of candidates who passed the previous phases.

The exam will be valid for 2 years, extendable for an equal period at CAPES’s discretion.
