Naval School Competition 2023 Opens 131 Vacancies and Begins Registration for Elementary and High School Candidates

The Naval College Entrance Exam Is Open with Hundreds of Spots for Middle and High School Candidates. Those Approved in the Public Competition Will Have Various Benefits.

This Monday (13), the official opening of registrations for the Naval College Competition 2023 took place. A total of 131 spots are available in the public competition, of which 119 are for boys and 12 for girls who have completed or are about to complete the 9th grade of middle school. Other requirements are to be over 15 years old and under 18 by June 30 of the following year, with a minimum height of 1.54 m and a maximum of 1.95 m.

Those Approved from Middle and High School Will Have Several Benefits

Those approved in the Naval College Competition will study for free for 3 years in a boarding school regime. They will receive R$ 1,398.30, comprising R$ 154 for military allowance, R$ 59.25 for military availability allowance, and the rest as military salary, in addition to uniforms, medical-dental assistance, food, social, religious, and psychological support.

Regarding the high school curriculum, classes will include Mathematics, English Language, Portuguese Language, History, Spanish Language, Geography, Sociology, Philosophy, Biology, Computer Science, and Chemistry.

The curriculum of the Military-Naval Education for the those approved in the public competition includes Military-Naval Instruction and Physical Education. In addition to fostering civic and moral concepts through the transmission of Military-Naval knowledge, students will develop physical fitness.

Learn How to Participate in the Public Competition for Middle and High School Candidates

Registrations for the Naval College Competition 2023 must be made exclusively online from February 13 to March 12, with a participation fee of R$ 100.

This fee should preferably be paid at Banco do Brasil, Santander, Caixa Econômica Federal, Bradesco, and Itaú.

Candidates who are bone marrow donors or members of families registered with CadÚnico with a monthly per capita income equal to or less than one and a half minimum wages will have the right to request a fee exemption from February 13 to March 3, through the Navy’s website.

The exemption for middle and high school candidates can also be made via a Registered Letter addressed to the Navy’s Personnel Selection Service – Registration Division, located at Rua Visconde de Itaboraí, No. 69 – Centro – Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – ZIP 20010-060. The exemption results will be announced on March 13, with an appeal period until the next business day.

Stages of the Naval College Competition 2023

Middle and high school candidates interested in the opportunity will be evaluated through an Objective Written Test of English and Mathematics, an Objective Written Test of Social Studies, Science, and Portuguese Language, an Essay, a Procedure for Heteroidentification Complementary to Self-Declaration only for self-declared black individuals, a Physical Aptitude Test for Admission, Health Inspection, Document Verification, and Psychological Assessment.

The public competition tests are scheduled to take place on May 20 and 21. On the first day, there will be 40 questions, with 20 in Mathematics and 20 in English. On the second day, there will be an additional 50 questions, distributed among Portuguese Language, Science, Social Studies, and also Essay. Each question is worth 100 points, and a candidate will be approved if they get at least half of the questions right in each subject and half of the essay score.

The answer keys are expected to be published on May 23, on the Navy’s website and also at the Organizations Responsible for Local Execution. The test scores will be available starting July 5.
