Sesapi Contest Announces 1,000 Positions and Exams Scheduled for March 2026
The new contest from the Piauí State Health Department (Sesapi) was announced this Thursday (4) and details what, who, when, where, how, and why of the selection that will involve thousands of candidates in the state.
The announcement confirms 1,000 positions, between immediate and reserve lists, intended for high school, technical, and higher education levels, with salaries reaching R$ 12,000.
Registrations begin on December 11, 2025, through the Carlos Chagas Foundation (FCC) website, and continue until January 15, 2026. Objective and essay exams will be administered in Teresina on March 15, 2026, marking the central stage of the contest.

The opening of the contest was authorized by Governor Rafael Fonteles, who stressed the need to strengthen the health workforce.
Thus, the contest returns to the state planning as part of an expansion package that should also include, later this year, the announcement from the Piauí State Education Department (Seduc).
Sesapi Contest Positions: 500 Immediate and 500 for Reserve List
In total, the Sesapi contest brings together 500 immediate positions and another 500 for reserve list formation, covering open competition, people with disabilities (PWD), and black candidates. Thus, the selection seeks to meet the inclusion guidelines set forth by law.
Salaries vary according to education level and workload. In the medical field, for example, remuneration can reach R$ 12,299.94 for 24 hours per week. Positions requiring higher education, such as nurse, pharmacist, biomedical, and physiotherapist, offer an initial salary of R$ 3,329.59.
Positions and Salaries in the 2026 Sesapi Contest
In addition to the medical field, the contest includes various essential qualifications for the functioning of the state health network. For instance, the clinical engineer position offers a salary of R$ 4,763.02, reinforcing the demand for specialized professionals in hospital technology.
At the high school and technical levels, the basic remuneration is R$ 1,997.75. However, the occupational safety technician will receive R$ 1,599.21, as their salary structure follows specific norms. Thus, the announcement clearly states how each role is compensated within the public health network.

Registrations, Fees, and Waivers for the Sesapi Contest
Registrations for the Sesapi contest must be made exclusively through the FCC website, which simplifies the process for candidates. The fees are R$ 100 for high school and technical levels and R$ 180 for higher education levels.
Moreover, payment can be made until January 16, 2026, ensuring a comfortable timeframe for those who need to organize their documentation.
The announcement also presents clear rules for fee exemption. Thus, candidates who meet specific criteria, such as regular blood or marrow donors, people with disabilities, unemployed individuals, and women donating breast milk, can request a waiver.
Waiver requests must be submitted between December 11 and 15, and the results will be announced on January 5, 2026, allowing candidates to know in advance if they can complete the registration without fees.
Sesapi Contest Exams on March 15, 2026
The Sesapi contest will administer objective and essay exams in the morning. Thus, all candidates will proceed to the central stage of the selection in March 2026.
Higher education candidates will take an essay exam in the format of a case study, whereas high school and technical level candidates will produce an essay. This way, each area will have an assessment compatible with its responsibilities.
The contest will have a validity period of two years, and the government may extend it for the same period, which widens the possibility of calling upon approved candidates and ensures a greater utilization of the reserve list.
