The announcement for the new Dataprev (Social Security Technology and Information Company) competition may be published soon. A contract summary with the organizing bank for the selection process was published in the official gazette (DOU) last Friday (7), and it will be Cebraspe.
New Dataprev Public Competition Will Feature 200 Vacancies
According to preliminary information, the selection process is expected to have around 200 vacancies. However, the positions that will be included are yet to be announced, as well as the distribution of opportunities across the respective options.
According to the published document, the contract was signed on July 4th. Those interested should stay alert. For now, what is certain is that, in addition to immediate vacancies, Dataprev will also form a reserve list of personnel, with placements in the states of São Paulo, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio de Janeiro, Ceará, Paraíba, and Santa Catarina.

The Ordinance No. 3,165/2021 has been published, establishing the staffing quantity for the Social Security Technology and Information Company. As a result, the company will have 3,422 permanent employees and 46 temporary employees who were granted amnesty.
To control the limit on the number of company personnel, factors to be considered include effective employees admitted through public competitions, employees holding positions or commissioned roles, effective employees admitted without public competition before October 5, 1988, employees on loan or made available to other agencies or entities, employees amnestied under Law No. 8,878, of May 11, 1994, and re-admitted and reinstated employees, among other considerations.
In addition, it is the company’s responsibility to manage its own personnel count, taking management actions to hire or dismiss employees, provided that the established limit and the approved budget allocations for each financial year are observed.
Possible Positions to Be Opened in the Dataprev Public Competition
Among the possible positions available in the selection process are:
- Occupational Safety Technician;
- Occupational Safety Engineer;
- Information Technology Analyst;
- Processing Analyst;
- Information Technology Assistant;
- Occupational Nursing Assistant;
- Occupational Physician.
Each position has unique requirements. For example, candidates for the Processing Analyst positions must have a degree or diploma in higher education, with a background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, or Mathematics.
Information Technology, Data Processing, or a degree or diploma in higher education, with postgraduate coursework in the IT sector, with a minimum of 360 hours, or a higher Technologist course in any area of Information Technology.

The last Dataprev competition was held in 2016, organized by Cetro Concursos. At that time, 1,975 vacancies were made available for the reserve list.
Approved in 2017, the examination was valid until 2019, when it was extended for another two years, expiring in February 2021. According to the latest update provided by DataPrev, 253 candidates were admitted, while 197 withdrew, and 164 were eliminated.
