Embrapa has not held a public competition for 15 years. It was in 2009 that the company published its last announcement, offering 600 immediate positions at Embrapa for roles across all education levels.

At the time, the opportunities in the Embrapa contest were for the careers of researcher, analyst, and assistants in classes A and B. The public competition of 2009 included the following stages:

  • Objective Test;
  • Discursive Test;
  • English Test (Translation and Version);
  • Oral Test (for Class A researcher); and
  • Evaluation of Titles (for some positions).

The objective test required candidates to have knowledge in Portuguese Language, Basic Computer Skills, Embrapa Master Plan, and Specific Knowledge. The organizing institution responsible was Instituto Cetro, which received the applications and administered the tests.
