The Federal Revenue Public Competition Has Been Signed and the Expectation is that Approximately 699 Positions Will Be Opened for the Positions of Tax Analyst and Fiscal Auditor with Salaries of Up to R$ 20 Thousand per Month.
The publication of the Federal Revenue Public Competition notice was signed last week and the document is expected to be released in the coming days. The information was confirmed by Geraldo Seixas, president of the National Union of Tax Analysts of the Federal Revenue of Brazil (Sindireceita). The deadline for the publication of the notice is by December 10, or six months after the authorization of the selection process, published on June 13.
Federal Revenue Public Competition Will Make 699 Positions Available
The contract with the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) has already been signed for the institution to be the organizing body. This was an essential step taken nearly two months ago for the progress of preparations. According to the Federal Revenue, with the signing of the contract, the next step is the publication of the Opening Notice of the Public Competition, which must take place by the deadline of December 10 of this year, according to Article 4 of SEDGG/ME Ordinance No. 5,343, of June 10 of this year.
The long-awaited authorization of the Federal Revenue Public Competition has been published and brought an offer to fill 699 positions. The opportunities are for analyst and auditor positions, requiring a higher education degree and salaries well above the job market.

The ordinance was signed by the Secretary of De-bureaucratization of the Ministry of Economy, Caio Mario Paes de Andrade, and is divided into Federal Revenue Fiscal Auditor, with 230 positions and a salary of R$ 21,487.09, and Tax Analyst of the Federal Revenue of Brazil, with 469 positions and a salary of R$ 12,142.39. Both careers have not had a competition in a long time. The last auditor notice was in 2014, while the analyst has not had a selection process since 2012.
Federal Revenue May Call Up to 873 Approved Candidates
The Federal Revenue may also call for excess candidates in case of authorization from the Ministry of Economy. According to the Decree 9,739 of 2019, the agency may request and receive approval to fill 25% of the immediate vacancies in the Public Competition.
This means that the Federal Revenue may, with approval, call more than 174 approved candidates, with 117 for analysts and 57 for auditors, totaling 873 hires. The government may also call more approved candidates with presidential dispatch. Among the attractions of the Federal Revenue competition are the salaries and benefits, being a strong factor for those showing interest in becoming a Federal Revenue inspector.
The current salary is R$ 21,487.09, already added with a food allowance of R$ 458. Meanwhile, the analyst has monthly earnings of R$ 12,142.39 at the beginning of their career. All selected candidates will be hired under the statutory regime, ensuring job stability.
Benefits of Being a Federal Revenue Employee
One of the most sought-after pieces of information among candidates is regarding career benefits. Currently, the food allowance is set at R$ 458, paid in advance and automatically.
The health allowance is R$ 106.50 per person, with voluntary enrollment, adherence, and the exclusion of any beneficiary. The ceiling value for Preschool Assistance is R$ 321. This benefit is granted to the employee to help with pre-school expenses for children or dependents.
The requirement for the beneficiary is to have a dependent in the age range from birth to 6 years. The night additional payment is approximately R$ 1,500 for those working on a shift basis. Night service is provided during the hours between 10 PM of one day and 5 AM of the following day.
